sindows
Its getting to the stage where i am going to be needing to get my car dyno tuned very soon. I am just wondering (i have already search and didnt find a thread like the one im creating.), - What tuner everyone uses in sydney? - Are they happy with the tune? - What kind of prices did they pay? - Were they happy with the power/reliablity? What i want wanting after my R33 is dyno'd, is reasonable power, but yet reliablity/economicaly. After reading threads which state "It's not about "how much" power, but for "how long" it makes that power." I know when making more power it will use more petrol, but i know someone who got their car dyno'd and was getting 150km's out of a tank instead of about 300 - 350 km's like i normally get. I deffantly dont want that. Please post your advice and comments. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/107080-dyno-experiences/ Share on other sites
paulr33
hi sindows, this has been covered a few times but ill summarize in short, first a few questions what mods? what ecu? ask for a complete tune, which includes; Max Power Tune Light Throttle Tune Partial Throttle Tune Fuel Economy Tune Cold Start and Warm Start Check Ignition Timing Tune all the tune's i have had done are simply point 1 and 5 and the results in the car driving fairly well but there are more gains to be had. most notably in parts 6 and 2 and 3. as you increase in the ignition timing in the low load areas you get some great throttle response which gives the car a nice crisp feeling. 4 needs to be done on the road and on the dyno as the load simulation is a little different to road tuning. it should take no longer than 30 minutes on the road with a wideband sensor. if its an apexi powerfc part 5 is basically done out the of box so thats handy.
