I'll be finishing the Cefiro with the RB25DE + T70 later today so I'll scan that when we're done.

Last reading was 249 rwkw @ 17 psi

Completely STOCK RB25DE with a T70 600hp, 600x300x100 FMIC, GTR Injectors, Z32 AFM, Desno 600 hp Fuel Pump, Remapped R32 GTST ECU, and that's it.

Ebay turbos are BAD......have a look at these links

http://www.mx6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110947

I think the funniest thing about that pic is they had to stamp the word "TURBO" into the housing, just in case you're not sure what it actually is. Like "nah, it's really a turbo! honest! just read the letters!" ;)

Bear in mind that Canberra is comparatively high altitude, so the BP should be lower.

Check your barrometer, i dont think it would ever go to 930. Currently in Canberra its 1023, With cyclone Tracey coming it might get down to 980 at its worst.

  • 1 month later...

Well I just found this thread...

The passage has so far made 303.9rwkws on 16psi (not with stock injectors) but with stock internals and has done 300+ at 3 different dyno locations. As for all the weather men, Canberra is at 93-96BP it is at altitude and is the true reading, (most weather reports measure at sea level) you can see all the summernats dyno sheets are around that reading.

KKR is a little laggy cuz its big, but for bang for the buck its unreal....Nismoid and others are just pissed they spent 5 zero's and have ball park same power.

KKR all the way

Possible 340rwkws at 20psi but also possible boom with stock internals.

A little bit of info is dangerous huh?

G.

whilst your graph certainly proves max power is possible it still doesnt prove much else.

you said yourself its a laggy mofo. average power makes the car quick on the street, not peaky power like the KKR that you've posted.

the info is hardly dangerous nor does it prose a threat to anyone else on this forums that insists on using corret turbochargers for their application

sounds like it would suck on the street (lag city)

Won't debate that, not run a 1/4 yet.. On R31 I never said it was lightning just posted power.

KKR is a little laggy cuz its big,

KKR 480 is not big. A GT42 is big, a t04z is big

A KKR is firmly in GT30 (Garrett and HKS) territory which is a medium sized turbo upgrade family.

Same as TD06's and other turbo brands, which looking at results on this forum, dont even come close.

Do you actually have any technical knowledge to share as to why it is so late to deliver power?

Or are you gonna pretend its because its "big" (which has been established, that it isnt)

Im pissed off :) news to me.

Im actually quite amused you can sit here and try and pass it off as a viable upgrade

I had useable power some... 2500rpm earlier. Or maybe 3000rpm.

Its just so hard to tell with your graph as its got the powerband of a turbo double its size

http://image-cache.skylinesaustralia.com/f...-1144976656.jpg

Go run a time then come back and tell us how good it is.

You'll find yourself falling into a hole inbetween gear changes so im predicting a time in the 13-sec zone

Until then, its a paper weight in terms of a performance upgrade without some evidence

With the modded actuator its boosting from 2800RPM so if you are 3000 under that, then I'm impressed :D

And I told you that you are pissed :nyaanyaa:

PS Why so hostile on KKR did one rape your sister or skyline

If it starts building @2800 and takes what... 3000rpm to build to 20psi...

I dunno how else to term un-responsive

Yep 2800 with the big boot at 5000rpm (on 16psi)

In the process of gettin some hoops for the strip I'll see how we go.

    • GTSboy, thank you again. i’ve been reading all the other SAU RB25 vacuum line threads and you have the utmost patience for people asking “where do my vacuum lines go”. it’s appreciated. i did also enlist a few other RB guys local to me.  i would like to run 5 to 4. turbo pressure side to wastegate actuator. i would like to run 3 to 1. power steering air valve line to intercooler outlet. (this is how it was previously). i was told 2 is the bleed port for the boost solenoid - which i’m not running - so should be capped.   anyone see any problems with that?
    • So yes. All of them. Something like 98% of all fuel in the USA has 10% ethanol: https://afdc.energy.gov/fuels/ethanol-fuel-basics It's labelled as like, AKI, 87, 91, 93 with an E10 or E5 or E15 label on the pump. At a certain point, it's not just "E10" instead of 91. It is 91, 95, 98, and all of them have 10% Ethanol in them. You can also get E85 and E30 which is why you do see some people rolling around with E30 tunes in them.
    • Thanks for the response. This is an 04 EP3 Type R. JDM spec. Fairly certain they're just basic BC racing coils. I do plan to keep as the ride quality on stock I've been told is pretty meh given Sydney roads. If I were to go down that avenue, does NSW require them to be a certain spec (close to original) etc?
    • Should have asked what is the car?
    • I've had two super conflicting experiences with blue slips. My 30 year old E39 waltzed through with no issues but my brother in law was knocked back on 12 y/o 3 series due to wiper blades and some cracking in a control arm bush.  What kind of coil overs? Do you want to keep them after?  If it was me I'd get some dirt cheap shocks and springs from eBay or scumtree. Not ideal but will get you over the line and might even be less than $1k.
