Paully you're not making sense - if you are paying $750 for parts from Leader vs $500 for the same parts from MSY, over the course of a few computers you could factor in a 33% failure rate from MSY (which is never going to happen - I know guys interstate who have been extremely happy buying from them for over 5 years). Yes MSY have NO customer service, yes you need to know EXACTLY what you want and even then have to pray they have stock, BUT if the price is right (which it is) they will kill most other computer suppliers within a couple of years - quite the opposite to closing down. And every new location they open, they have even better buying power and can buy and then sell goods at even more competitive prices.

id rather pay the measley 80 dollars or 40 dollars over for what msy charge.

wtf ?

like nightcrawler, ive used MSY for years (b4 they came to SA)

shit webpage, long waiting time, bad service...who cares, end of the day, its the price that wins my buisness

time = money and leader are farking quick, i like ordering the stuff, walzing in, paying for it, going home and using it.

CBF waiting 20 years for a part i need striaght away for saving 20 dollars. not worth it to me.

Absolutley, I'll pay more for something if I need it now and can get it now.

BUT if you're talking about the same item, and both stores have stock, fu(k the service, price wins for me.

I think the customer service thing is crap, im getting to know couple of the guys in there already quite funny and helpful i did spend over 6k there four our internet cafe that might be why. But I have had a couple of returns for headsets and the have helped instantly.

I used to have a mate who worked at leader with a account there and now dont even bother to farkin hard speically with returns painfull

Erin

Same at my old work we used to deal with leader on a regular basis, the amount of times they'd send our orders to the wrong store, would put stuff on order and then send the wrong part. We got f**ked around so much we just stopped dealing with them and we were almost a million dollar customer.

  • 2 weeks later...

theres another shop on king william street that looks very bogan and they have pretty cheap computer parts.

i"ve built two computers with all the parts bought from them and haven't had a problem yet.

When i built my own computer though i got all the parts local. It did cost me more but i prefer to support local business.

well have a QW:ET key and to tell you the truth i dont think much of the game

lies!!!!! + who pays file planet?? =P

i think its one of those cases where all the hype and anticipation kill the game =(

pm key pls? =P i would love to take a look at it, unless there is already a free beta running around?

    • Kinkstah, no, coilovers aren't illegal, especially as a bolt straight in. The illegal part will be if they're altering suspension geometry beyond factory limits, or the ride height is not legal.   Sounds like the blue slipper just didn't want to deal with any later possibility of mods appearing on the car.
    • The problem has always been that coilovers are able to be adjusted, almost at any time, to be too low. Most people who ever get/got defected for/with coilovers were actually afoul of the minimum ride height rule. So the interpretation by cops/inspectors was always that it is pointless to allow numpty to raise his coilovers and get the car inspected/cleared, then just drop them back down again as soon as they get around the corner from the inspection station.  This led to the interpretation that they were illegal unless rendered such that they can't be adjusted (ie, collars welded to the body, that sort of thing). That may or may not have ever actually been the official line, but I'm pretty sure it's not considered to be a solution these days. Coilovers themselves fall under clause 3.2 b of that manual, because they are an "installation of a variable ride height system" and they don't fit the exclusions in that clause (which point to air springs and other pneumatic adjusters). So, as per previous statements, they require engineering cert to be legal on the road. Once you have such cert, provided you do not adjust them outside the height range covered by the cert, you are OK. Without, you have an unroadworthy vehicle.
    • Here E10 is the cheapest fuel. And general advice is to not use it unless you hate your car. From what I remember it clogs up stuff in the fuel system or injectors?  With US/Canada being E10 across the board, does that mean that all fuel there is terrible?
    • Sorry, are coilovers ACTUALLY ILLEGAL in NSW? They aren't in Vic, as long as they retain 70% of stock travel and the car is above 100mm off the ground. Does NSW actually have a law making coilovers actually illegal? RWC/Blue Slip/Engineering people not knowing the actual f**king laws boils my blood. Demand them to point to the documentation that states a coilover is illegal. (it may exist in NSW ) Edit: I checked. They aren't. https://www.nsw.gov.au/sites/default/files/2021-02/RMS-infosheet-light-vehicle-modifications-manual-suspension-and-ride-height.pdf
