Usually 2 sticks are marginally quicker & puts less strain than using 4 slots of equivalent memory. Personally, I’d go with any 2GB kit (2x1GB), doubt you’d regularly utilise more than 3GB of memory with your current system.

With the exception of overclocking, there's no real benefit going with faster RAM frequency than what your mobo can support or CPU FSB & in your case that's 400Mhz (assuming you have DDR2 & P4 or better). Although, RAM is quite cheap now so there’s no harm in getting the best 4GB (2x2GB) you can afford, as they are backwards [frequency] compatible & you can always use it in your next system - provided AMD mobo’s don’t also start pushing for DDR3 to become mainstream anytime soon :P.

No madaz it will not.

Your best choice for gaming with a controller on both 360 and PC is to buy a microsoft WIRED xbox360 controller. They are a great controller and work really well on PC.

You can buy the wireless xbox360 controller but then you will also need the wireless receiver.

pkblade when u getting ya 4870???

Finally got it on Tues :D ...went with the MSI's OC version, pretty happy with it so far. Although while I was DL the latest driver I noticed MSI have already released the HD4870X2 OC :). Might wait for prices to go down, currently they're priced $650-750.

So who uses VoIP?

I've been with MyNetFone for quite some time now and really can't fault their service.

Signed up via the MyNetFone whingepool/whirlpool offer. $4.95 per month for 60 free national calls untimed then 10c untimed national and 15c per minute per second billing.

We don't use the phone a great deal but still manage to save a good $80 per month as we often make national and mobile calls.

I'm on the Home Line Budget $19.95 Helstra plan with ADSL2+ from Internode.

For those that are shopping ensure you run a quick traceroute to the sip server you are looking at to ensure the routing isn't stupid from where you are located.

MyNetFone from Internode in Adelaide is ~40ms away with a traceroute you couldn't improve.

Don't buy an ATA device that plugs in to your modem as a lot of modems suffer what is known as a NAT bug; splash out another $40 or so and buy an All in one modem/router/wireless/voip box.

Preferably a billion 740x as they work well and are easy to configure.

i used to use engin for VoIP... service was ok but they were bastards when i went to cancel (having worked in a cancellations call queue with a major ISP i I know whats what with T's & C's, i got his TL on the phone and gave em what for hehhe the dude was highlighted for a "coaching opportunity" LOL ).

I'm also on node adsl2+ wit homeline plus

i had a free zyxel ata that i procured from work.... the GUI is completely counter-intuative on those things

did get delays tho, i tested it bay haveing a mobile fone convo at the same time... it was noticeable

yeah nice work Nick - I remember seeing some of your earlier work on those models and even then they looked the bomb!

    • The spray cans were in the "Kiln" room whilst I was preping the parts,  so probably around 2 hours to get them warmed up, the kiln room has 3 small ovens running at 100°c, 3 medium sized ovens running 100°c, and the large one I used running at 80°c, the room itself was about 28°c, I also spent a bit of time taping up the parts in the room as well, and by the time I was done I would assume that the parts were around that 28°c As for power, I expect a couple of Killerwasps up high would be achievable with the current mods, I'm still running the MZR 2.0 intake and throttle body, and there is a slight mismatch with the 2.0 intake (smaller) and 2.5 intake ports (larger) on the head, this intake is matched and specifically designed to fix this issue with the ports mismatch, the throttle body is also a couple of mm larger, OEM is 65mm, the Bosch is 68mm In the end it will look "prettier" than the molded plastic thing that is the OEM MZR 2.0 intake As for the LSD, it's the OEM Torsen which works fine for what I use the car for, plus, basically no maintenance apart from the occasional oil change
    • I was at Tunehouse in Marrickville (great team over there really know their VR's) , and I spotted this Very clean R35.
    • Mate , I have the same issue right now with the exhaust noise , if you can tell me what your local guy did , I'll talk to my guys and see if they can do the same. Power is good but it just too loud when put it down.
    • The other trick I've found with wrinkle black is to put the can in hot water for a bit to warm the paint up, and to pre-heat whatever you're painting. It'll be interesting to see if you pick up any power with the intake, following with interest. Got a proper lsd for this?
