Hey Guys, I feel partly responsible for this discussion (post 2). I guess I love to see all types of performance cars. Its the variety that makes it interesting.

With track day I let almost any car come, as my stipulation isn't a car type or model but on the character of the person. If your a nice person come along, if your a tool your not welcome. I guess this is a lot harder to control on an open forum.

Having said that I have nothing against car only / model only events, I was just curious about the sub division within the Skyline community. All us round tail lighters have to stick together I say :D

The WRX guys are the same, they have this great cruise they organise every few months that is Subaru only, they let me come along as they know me through track day etc. and I get a lot of comment/discussion about how interesting it is to see how a GTR runs in comparison.

I have a family these days so getting out with a good group of guys means more to me than what they drive. End ramble.

This is sad... why has it become such a big deal. We own an r32 gtst and an r33 gtst, so have not been able to go on either of the gtr cruises, but seeing as we are grown ups it didn't matter & we got the f*** over it! Personally, I don't see why people are getting upset at model specific cruises. If our model's included, we'll go, if not, we'll check out the pics upon your return!

Well the last "r34 cruise" i went to copped a bit which is why it was changed to "If you have an R34, make an effort to turn up because similar cars will be there but everyone can turn up if they want cruise"

Ellie.

I think you should cool down because for starters I read what you said a few times and i seem not to understand your Engarish. If i understood right I wasnt the one who started raising the tone of the language in the topic about people who can afford what. Really I dont know where affording a car comes into the equation and how there is cutting the "F**k stick factor", i mean what is the F**k stick factor. Care to explain that to the entire Skylines communitiy, im sure they will love to hear that haha.

I wish I could understand you reasoning because it sounds like something cool. And whats with the sticking up for others? Can they not speak for themselves, or are you some service they pay for? seriously? All i said about your post was "A bit steep there", and purely that was because your French was quite obvious.

If you want to brag about affording an R34, then go buy one and post your pictures and comments on the WASTELAND section, because i'm sure you will get some kiddies saying "Bro, thats fully sick", and that might bump up your ego.

Now i never pointed fingers at you, or Azzurra. If you read the lins correctly I said that Azzurra is doing the right things and organising the R32 Cruise. Here you come and say I'm a bad person.

Mate I'd love any cruise and for your sake i'll say it again, I think what Azzurra is doing is very good. Ok got that.

Now please get back on topic so I dont need to say this again for you to understand.

Good luck with your R32 cruise.

i saw this topic and went ahh cool...old school cruise....i dont see why people are flingin crap in the fan. if you dont have a 32 then get in one, but i see it as a place when other 32 owners can look at same model cars not newer ones. something of a nissan cruise but smaller really. your not going to miss out on much if you dont have one. so if you dont have one then dont worry. i dont see the point in tryin to make it bigger, if a 33 cruise comes around i wont be going in my 32. cause i dont really want to. I bought a 32 for a reason...and i am sure you all bought 33's for a reason, so BE COOL about it.

I am with MountainRunner!

"stipulation isn't a car type or model but on the character of the person" That's what I have learnt from some nice blokes I know recently. Though I am new in here, even a greenhand as a skyline owner. But I still get some respects from other nice skyliners, coz we'r all grown ups shares the same passion.

I treat this forum as a family, and really sad to see you guys going all against each other. I will always be up to a pleasant cruise with some nice ppl no matter what car they drive. ( I used to own a Deawoo and went on a cruise with my WRX friends, they still looked after me well, really appreciate that ) Just try to appreciate the car I have, and enjoy every cruise I can join. :)

Peace....

guys... guys... WHOA THERE NELLY!!!

i think you have all taken this the wrong way.... it was meant as a bit of a tongue in cheek stir at the previous 'model only' cruises... of course you're allowed to come if you have a stagea, or cefiro, or a 31, 33, or 34 as well, or even GTR's... the more the merrier... i was merely trying to point out the stupidity of having ;model specific; cruises, while at the same time, trying to drum up a bit of interest with the r32 boys and girls, as there never really seems to be that big of a turn out of them on cruises.....!

To a certian extent I agree with you, however why should a specfic model r32, r33, 34,gst-t or gtr cruise be considered stupidity?

If someone is thinking that the idea sux that is fine, I don't care and none of us should really care, please feel free not to show up to the event. Or if someone reads the topic title that says something like "calling all gtrs" and someone is thinking "what stupidity" please don't double click to view the thread-we wouldn't want someone to get offended while reading it.

It has been a laugh reading this and the other two threads.

AzzurrA if you are serious about your cruise you should post it up in the event section, I think you should be able to generate alot of interest for it. if you need any help with it feel free to ask (pm)!

What ever happen to the R32 cruise? did it go ahead?

No it was a joke... Well maby...

But it did start a series of events...

Well there we many vehicle specific cruises posted eariler in the year...

Many were taking the pi$$ and being silly about it...

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
