IM ABOUT TO DO A MAJOR SERVICE ON MY 95 R33 GTST. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE HAS SOME ADVICE ON WHICE POD AIR FILTER WILL GIVE ME BETTER PERFORMANCE. IM LOOKING AT THE APEXI DOME SHAPE POD, THE HKS DOME SHAPED POD, THE K + N CONE SHAPED POD ( WHICH I CURRENTLY HAVE ATTACHED), AND THE TRUST DOME SHAPED ALUMINIUM FRAME ENCASED POD. MY CAR IS A DAILY DRIVER IF THAT MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE, AT THE MOMENT IT PUTTING OUT 196kW AT THE WHEELS WITH STANDARD TURBO + INTERCOOLER, 3.5" DUMP PIPE, AND 3.5" EXAUST FROM TURBO THROUGH THE CAT TO THE REAR OF THE VEHCLE. WITH TWIN PLTE CERAMIC CLUTCH, HKS BOV, 4" MUFFLAR A THE BACK, AND RUNNING MID TO LOW 13'S. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. I DO PLAN TO PUT A LARGER FRONT MOUNT INTERCOOLER IN, IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE. THANKS. VICTIM7.

apexi a known to be the best and also legal, they did a test of the top few pod and it was apexi 1st, k&n 2nd Blitz3rd then hks last

this was for how much they filtered and how much power they gave

apexi gave the best power and filtered the most!

i have an apexi pod its excellent

1.) turn caps lock off.

2.) use a K&N or piper cross or trust panel filter in stock air box.

people are making way over 200rwkw some even over 250rwkw using the stock air box.

they get no defects,

they get cold air to motor.

pod filter will increase your induction SOUND but will not make any more power than a good panel filter in the box.

and will cost the same.

K&N is much cheaper when buying brand new. I dont think its worth the extra money to go Apexi, Blitz or HKS since the performance gains are very minimal. I would keep the K&N in my opinion.

Although it may not make to much difference, Id only use Apexi or Blitz, simply because they do good jobs and dont need replacement/cleaning!

You have fmic + 3.5' zorst and ur puttin out 196rwkw? Without tuning? Usually you'll get that figure with a power fc... but not stock ecu i thought, pretty decent.

Although I use a HKS, I've also read about the Apexi ones being the best so that's what I'm going to get next if I decide to stay with a pod filter. If you do a search you should be able to find a link to the article somewhere.
