F-CON NAVIGATOR Pro is the display which is effective to the case where F-CON V Pro is used e.g., fuel amount used and addition travel distance and fuel economy etc from the injector pulse which is output with F-CON V Pro and the vehicle speed signal etc which is input, to calculate to indicate it is possible.

In addition it can use as the digital meter whose expandability is high the F-CON V Pro I /F unit adapter by using simultaneously, furthermore.

* The version upgrade of F-CON V Pro is necessary in connection with I /F unit adapter.

* Basic function

● It is possible to indicate in real time concerning the item which does input/output with F-CON V Pro.

● Monitor display can do the picture constitution of 4 types of 2, 5, 7 and 10 kind simultaneous indications. In addition, four indicatory items combines modification is possible with the respective picture constitution. (Total page 16)

● As for change of indicatory item, to do simply at, button operation one it is possible the installation of the separate sensor is necessary (depending upon the indicatory data,)

* Indicatory item

・ Rpm ・ Air flow flow ・ Instantaneous fuel economy

・ Inhalation air pressure ・ Water temperature ・ A/F

・ Inhalation warm ・ Atmospheric pressure ・ Remaining fuel quantity

・ Throttle opening ・ Power supply voltage ・ Average fuel economy

・ Vehicle speed ・ Fuel main output ・ Addition distance

・ Ignition main output ・ Fuel sub output ・ Ignition sub output

・ Knock level * A/F knock amplifier necessity

・ Hydraulic oil temperature ・ Exhaust warm exhaust warm ・ Optional oil temperature

* Connection with the I/F unit for DB meter RS is needed

In addition, with the power lighter/writer, for example inside F-CON V Pro detailed monitor value of the fuel and ignition revision (, only fuel throttle revision and only ignition knock revision and the like) it can indicate can set.

* In addition

● During monitor display, input maximum (minimum) memory/the peak hold instruction function which is made to indicate.

● During monitor display, the warning function which is warned to the driver with item/the value which is set beforehand.

* Advanced Capability

● You use the I/F unit adapter, by the fact that you connect with the I/F unit for HKS DB meter RS, you take in the information of the additional sensor, you are possible to indicate.

● The occasion where the injector injection quantity was operated, the correct remaining fuel quantity can be indicated vis-a-vis the model of part which error occurs in the genuine fuel gauge, (the remaining fuel quantitative data inputs the voltage of vehicle center gauge to F-CON V Pro and modifies to the remaining fuel data).

Modification setting of the map for fuel/ignition control change which easy is done is possible in F-CON V Pro. It was necessary until recently, the switch of F-CON V Pro itself to change with the mixed char controller of option.

* Data display inhibit function

● When you are bet data protect on inside F-CON by the power lighter/writer, the fuel/ignition output data is not indicated.

* Indicatory unit setting function

● It is possible to set the unit of the data which it indicates.

Pressure: “Pascal” “PSI” “bar/var” Speed: “Kilometer” “mile”

Temperature: “℃” “°F” Cubic measure: “L= liter” “G (US) the = United States gallon”

“G (EU) = Europe gallon”

* When illumination adjustment function (I/F unit is connected,)

● Same period doing in the illuminational signal which adjustment of brightness and contrast and the button illumination of back light of the F-CON NAVIGATOR indicatory department connects with I/F unit, it is possible to change to 2 stages.

* The logging by the power lighter/writer

● At monitoring capability each data which can be indicated at the F-CON V Pro power lighter/writer is indicatory logging possible.

The temperature sensor of meter (oil temperature water temperature other things), the exhaust gas temperature sensor and the pressure sensor (oil pressure and burning pressure) the single item it sets, to I/F unit the sensor it just is added it is possible to increase indicatory item.

F-CON V Pro I/F unit adapter

You make with F-CON V Pro and current electronic type meter I/F unit connect, data transfer you do the sensor signal which has been input with I/F unit to F-CON V Pro. Because of this, F-CON V Pro the case of setting, smaller it reaches the point where it can do setting, the monitor/the log convenient by being possible value of meter it reaches the point where you can use exhaust gas temperature revision e.g., it becomes. F-CON NAVIGATOR Pro by using simultaneously the user it is enabled as a digital meter.

* In order to make these functions effective, the program specification modification of F-CON V Pro (version upgrade) is necessary.

done tried once more and still no good,

no light comes on on the computer.

program installed ok and all that. cant think of anything else to be doing.

but the loom is 100% ok

Is the ECU powered? It has to be powered.

The phone plug (RJ12) should have:

nothing

black

yellow

red

green

nothing

looking from cable entry side.

Tom

so it needs to be connected to the car and on?

It needs to be powered but doesn't really need to be hooked up to the car. If you have a 12V power supply you can use that to power the ECU. I can find out which pins need to be connected if you want.

no good, powered up and attempted to download and no orange light comes on.

loom is correct, green light is on fcon, thinks it downloads something but its nothing at all.

definatley right port as my usb port thing tells me so.

What USB port thing? Are you using USB to serial converter?

If you using anything other than COM 1 you have to change the setting in F-con downloader.

    • I know why it happened and I’m embarrassed to say but I was testing the polarity of one of the led bulb to see which side was positive with a 12v battery and that’s when it decided to fry hoping I didn’t damage anything else
    • I came here to note that is a zener diode too base on the info there. Based on that, I'd also be suspicious that replacing it, and it's likely to do the same. A lot of use cases will see it used as either voltage protection, or to create a cheap but relatively stable fixed voltage supply. That would mean it has seen more voltage than it should, and has gone into voltage melt down. If there is something else in the circuit dumping out higher than it should voltages, that needs to be found too. It's quite likely they're trying to use the Zener to limit the voltage that is hitting through to the transistor beside it, so what ever goes to the zener is likely a signal, and they're using the transistor in that circuit to amplify it. Especially as it seems they've also got a capacitor across the zener. Looks like there is meant to be something "noisy" to that zener, and what ever it was, had a melt down. Looking at that picture, it also looks like there's some solder joints that really need redoing, and it might be worth having the whole board properly inspected.  Unfortunately, without being able to stick a multimeter on it, and start tracing it all out, I'm pretty much at a loss now to help. I don't even believe I have a climate control board from an R33 around here to pull apart and see if any of the circuit appears similar to give some ideas.
    • Nah - but you won't find anything on dismantling the seats in any such thing anyway.
    • Could be. Could also be that they sit around broken more. To be fair, you almost never see one driving around. I see more R chassis GTRs than the Renault ones.
    • Yeah. Nah. This is why I said My bold for my double emphasis. We're not talking about cars tuned to the edge of det here. We're talking about normal cars. Flame propagation speed and the amount of energy required to ignite the fuel are not significant factors when running at 1500-4000 rpm, and medium to light loads, like nearly every car on the road (except twin cab utes which are driven at 6k and 100% load all the time). There is no shortage of ignition energy available in any petrol engine. If there was, we'd all be in deep shit. The calorific value, on a volume basis, is significantly different, between 98 and 91, and that turns up immediately in consumption numbers. You can see the signal easily if you control for the other variables well enough, and/or collect enough stats. As to not seeing any benefit - we had a couple of EF and EL Falcons in the company fleet back in the late 90s and early 2000s. The EEC IV ECU in those things was particularly good at adding in timing as soon as knock headroom improved, which typically came from putting in some 95 or 98. The responsiveness and power improved noticeably, and the fuel consumption dropped considerably, just from going to 95. Less delta from there to 98 - almost not noticeable, compared to the big differences seen between 91 and 95. Way back in the day, when supermarkets first started selling fuel from their own stations, I did thousands of km in FNQ in a small Toyota. I can't remember if it was a Starlet or an early Yaris. Anyway - the supermarket servos were bringing in cheap fuel from Indonesia, and the other servos were still using locally refined gear. The fuel consumption was typically at least 5%, often as much as 8% worse on the Indo shit, presumably because they had a lot more oxygenated component in the brew, and were probably barely meeting the octane spec. Around the same time or maybe a bit later (like 25 years ago), I could tell the difference between Shell 98 and BP 98, and typically preferred to only use Shell then because the Skyline ran so much better on it. Years later I found the realtionship between them had swapped, as a consequence of yet more refinery closures. So I've only used BP 98 since. Although, I must say that I could not fault the odd tank of United 98 that I've run. It's probably the same stuff. It is also very important to remember that these findings are often dependent on region. With most of the refineries in Oz now dead, there's less variability in local stuff, and he majority of our fuels are not even refined here any more anyway. It probably depends more on which SE Asian refinery is currently cheapest to operate.
