A few of the Valvebounce guys are heading out for some much needed practise (I haven't been since last year). Anyone keen to head out? There will be a few HSV's coming up with us so a perfect opportunity to show them up (I will be :D ). More than that its a great way to learn more about your driving ability and what your vehicle is capable of!

Are pulsars invited..

Yep whatever you like. Last time I went out there were a fair few Pulsars out there ripping it up and having a ball.

Be good to see some Skylines out there and feel free to come and spectate it won't cost you anything. Don't worry too much about having it up to track spec, I still run standard shocks and brakes (with good pads :) ) and only put out 185rwkw.

Should be a good one as its starting to cool down a little now so its easier on the cars (especially turbos).

I run semis. Either my old Bridgestone RE540s or my new Toyo R888s. Both are pretty good on the track. The best I have tested so far are the Bridgestone RE55s though the Toyos aren't far behind. Falken also have a new tyre out but it had want to be alot better than the old RT215s. Semis arent really required but make a good couple of seconds difference.

Have been talking to Kris about another dyno day in May. Waiting to see what timeframe he has on getting the S15 back in action.

im probably going to buy some falken semi-slicks cause i can get them cheap. i've heard these new one's are supposed to be pretty good.....

what time is the event ment to begin? is anyone cruising up as a group? i'd imagine the valvebounce boys would be....

I think you meant to say Federals Luke

I wont be coming anymore, I just realised that is the weekend that I start the first step of major modding to the 32.... And 4 days to work on it is to good to waste.

But once its done and Im fairly happy with it, its definatly going on the track!

Nice one! You can rock up whenever you like but I like to get there early so I can set up, i.e. get all the crap out of the car, set the tyres up etc. We will probably all cruise up so feel free to join us, will post up meet time closer to the date.

Just thought I would add, one of the fellas in the club has been contacted by Wakefield and this Thursday (the initial date) they are attempting to boost numbers and will have a film crew out there.

For those interested in going the cost of day (6th) will be huge fat $0 but you will need to let me know asap so I can put your name down. I will be heading out on the 6th AND again on the 15th. You will need to have a Wakefield Park License.

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
