well i must admit that i do exactly what is stated above in my magna. ONLY because no one suspects it has 207kW ATW. SO After i manage to get some traction, i blow them to bits.

The only reason that i do so is, that i hate when somene buys a skyline, puts a gtr badge on it and a bodykit, and thinks they are king shit and the fastest car out there.

IT nice to put them back in their place every now and then.

Sorry guys.

So if that was true that would mean you would only do it to gtr badged gtst's, I find that very unlikely. The only reason some people realise I may have some power under my bonnet is for a couple of front bar decals, if I took them off it would just look like any 33. Then other people think it's just a rice factor, then they get chopped & realise they were wrong. What are you going to do when you come up against a skyline that will chop you? Give it up?

I know of one of em 93 models? older shape v6 that will probably kick some asses soon. It's getting a birthday present in the way of a 3litre v6 twin turbo GTO twin turbo motor and running gear, 6 speed and AWD is going to be fitted. The g box is a getrag too.

It will look pretty stock externally, cept for the 4 pots from the donor front cut we pulled the motor out of this weekend. They only use TD04's on the 3 litre but in someting as light as an early model magna you know what the outcome will be at the lights.

I want to see it run at the drags when we're finished. Should be interesting as we are still working it out. Early days yet.

This Sh1T be getting funny now.

My 97 Verada ( MAGNA ) is a nice car, I dont however think some of you have brains, balls or pubic hair. Bagging them ( Magna's ) is childish.

Personaly I think the Magnas are dull in stock form, look good with rims and lowered and go like the sh1t when they have a super charger, turbo charger or some intake mods from RPW.

Lets not be d1ckheads and go around labeling a car pathetic and a common dickheads car.

Why... Because I take offence to it. Why shouldnt I??

My next car will be a R34, when I get that should I start bagging magna drives? ahhh no.

Has anyone raced a 2005 Magna VRX? I have a mate who is bugging me that its faster than my 33. This is the 2005 Quadtec AWD VRX 3.8.... Im still not too concerned though but im still not sure what they are stock at the treads. Im trying to get him to come out to the track and give me a run.

Your mates VRX is a 3.5L and is producing 159kW at 5200rpm and 317 Nm of Torque at 5400rpm

My car produced 162kw (no not at the wheels) when I got my exhaust CAI and POD filter fitted. Mine is a 3.5L FWD Verada not a VRX.

I would get him down at the track and give him a run.

Im thinking you would win! :P

My first car was a magna. It was shit. You say they are dull in stock form, excluding supercars which one's aren't? Most cars will look good when they're lowered & fitted with bigger rims, and any car would go better with a turbo or supercharger!!

I mean there are plenty of worse cars out there, I don't mind them I'm just not going to pay any attention to them. I'm thinking they are becoming the new Lancers.

DUDE!?!? 4 turbos! wow.....

Fair enough mate.. But you cant say that Skylines arn't the new Commodore can you.. I see more Skylines than Lancers.

And yeah any car will go better with a superchanger and turbo charger thats just plain stupid saying that..

My point is the 3.5L magnas fitted with the RPW stage 2 Twin Turbo setup produce over 230kw and thats nothing to be laughed at.

Im not baggin Skylines man.. Im getting an R34 and had a R33 so how could I? All Im saying is that I dont think they are that bad + I agree that most of them are driven by idiots but come on.. calling them the new lancer when you drive a skyline is just stupid.

Some skyline drivers are behaving like hoons these days too. Recently, stopped at a traffic light next to a black R33 S2 skyline with a girl driver. Gave her the thumbs ups, and she ravved her engine and give me a Loser sign when i didn't do the same. Well... i think she wanted me to rev it back. Whatever for? Maybe she wanted to drag me? Aww come on, nice sunny afternoon, with shit loads of cars on the roads.

Oh wells.

Hey Keefy, was she on her Ps? and did you catch her plates, maybe [teej] ? I've confronted her before it it was, she did the same thing :)

yeah great, chop up a perfectly good gto , to put an average driveline in an average car... its going to be a heavy understeering pig, and with a driveline not designed to take that sort of running gear, im sure it will break shit left right and centre.

all i was saying i don't particulary like the fast that somone with a GTST puts on a GTR badge on and think they are king shit.

The magna is suppose to be a family car, but the motor is easily modified and is a very strong motor. Anyway i'm getting a skyline and i drive a magna so i'm screwed either way. LOL

    • Yeah and hence my ghetto way of slamming the brakes, get the ABS to cycle, rebleed seems to be a sensible workaround.
    • Hey! Happy to help. Nothing inherently wrong with the adapter, it's more so with Brett Collins himself. He gave me a lot of incorrect information when I was in contact with him and was extremely rude when I challenged him. He stated I could not use any aftermarket twin plate clutches except for his own, not to use the dush shield, bla bla bla and it was all BS.  Collins stated to cut roughly 14mm's off the housing, I took off 15mm to make room for the dust shield. I would confirm with whatever adapter manufacturer you're using.
    • There's plenty of OEM steering arms that are bolted on. Not in the same fashion/orientation as that one, to be sure, but still. Examples of what I'm thinking of would use holes like the ones that have the downward facing studs on the GTR uprights (down the bottom end, under the driveshaft opening, near the lower balljoint) and bolt a steering arm on using only 2 bolts that would be somewhat similarly in shear as these you're complainig about. I reckon old Holdens did that, and I've never seen a broken one of those.
    • Let's be honest, most of the people designing parts like the above, aren't engineers. Sometimes they come from disciplines that gives them more qualitative feel for design than quantitive, however, plenty of them have just picked up a license to Fusion and started making things. And that's the honest part about the majority of these guys making parts like that, they don't have huge R&D teams and heaps of time or experience working out the numbers on it. Shit, most smaller teams that do have real engineers still roll with "yeah, it should be okay, and does the job, let's make them and just see"...   The smaller guys like KiwiCNC, aren't the likes of Bosch etc with proper engineering procedures, and oversights, and sign off. As such, it's why they can produce a product to market a lot quicker, but it always comes back to, question it all.   I'm still not a fan of that bolt on piece. Why not just machine it all in one go? With the right design it's possible. The only reason I can see is if they want different heights/length for the tie rod to bolt to. And if they have the cncs themselves, they can easily offer that exact feature, and just machine it all in one go.
