Yeah, Tony works in the sleazy, sidle up to you, get you drunk and promise you the world side of HR.

I am trying to get into the other side where I tell him being sleazy, getting drunk and promising people outrageous stuff is bad. And then I right a new company policy outlining said issues and why they are bad. Then I take my fourth coffee break for the morning.

I can spell IT and that's about it. Accounting Recruitment and Management Consulting specialising in CA firms :)

How far is the GT-R from completion?

I see.

Well at the pace Gavin is doing any work on the car I have calculated I could go on a nice European trip for a month and it would still not be finished :verymad:

I did not want to blab this on a public forum, but I cant help state that I am extremely disapointed with the level of customer service (how I have been treated) considering I have paid b$g $$$ upfront to get the car completed.

Having my peformance parts stolen has also really pissed me off and considering I haven't seen a cent from the $nsurance coy is not helping my frustration nor helping my experience of this.

It sure as hell is not a complicated job and has all the parts necessary to complete it.

not fkn happy!

When do I promise outrageous stuff? I deliver thank you very much.

Ouch. Not good at all mate! Did you fork out from your pocket for new parts or did the mech pay?

I forked out the $4K+ myself  and got parts back within a week after the workshop was broken into (so much for being proactive)

what Gavin needs is some one standing there and tell him to work faster. :)

also paying $$$ upfront is just asking to be ripped off.

I feel that it was a mistake now to pay upfront. Although in my world, if someone pays me upfront I will make sure your looked after

TBH, I believe problem is that the workshop is not what it used to be say 5-7yrs ago where he had other mechs working for him and turning over cars really quickly.

He has since downsized significantly (from my observation) which makes sense due to the the past i.e. GFC and current econcomic climate, however he is still taking on the same level of workload when he is already at full capacity.

Also being told that things are being done when they are not, doesnt impress me. Just don't BS me!

<blahblahblah not happy jane>

now days I try to do as much car stuff as I can without going near any workshop, "aint nobody got time/money for workshops" ;)

his other mech in the old days installed cams wrong somehow, as I was told later on by the guy I sold the car to. So no big deal.

that what I have been doing and saved a lot of $$$. Plus I got to learn new things along the way.

strange you say that about his previous mech. as my prevoius engine I got them to do a fair bit of work including installing new Tomei cams (when he had several mechs) - never had an issue and car just kicked more holden ass on the drag strip :P

225 wide :woot: F@#k me dead!

Did 12.4 at 119mph cant remember sexty foot time (wheelspinin all fours IIRC) - smashed that holden commie with slicks and supercharger by half track and even asked me if I had nitrous in there because I flew past him. I just told him "no. just boost" ;)

yup awsome 2.6 60ft time is where its at with shitty tyres ;)

some of those holden drivers are actually nice and will give compliments, unlike douches in jap imports thinking they are top shit.

i did the usual tail slide every gear change and went past a commie just before the end. he was impressed :)

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
