I set my trip meter to zero I put in a full tank. When I filled it up next it took 42 liters and did 410km's. So that works out to 10.3 liters/100km. It supprised me cause I did a fair bit of spritied dirving.

Whats a R32's fuel tank size? 60l?

Thats like 580 km off one tank if I drove all the way to empty. Probably get to 540 -550 before the light comes on. Car is stock except for the cat back exhaust.

my DR30 gets almost 450kms out of it on a good run.

when i put petrol in i usually put in $50 to keep it round, but with these petrol prices $50 is not filling as much as it used to (duh). turn the car on and there's a noticeable difference in where the needle used to get up to and where the needle gets to now.

it's a 60L tank i think. unsure.

yeah a RB20 is 60l, the most i got was 470, havnt risked it to get up to 500

I just filled up yesterday after a weekend of country driving. 470km's and the fuel needle was sitting just under 1/4. I went to fill it up expecting to put in 50 liters or so... 42.5 L :D

Thats like 9L/100km... I could have made it to 600km at that rate. For a car thats done 150k Km's, its a fuel efficiency beast

my stocker car has been having some probs recently. Used to go about 10k/litre.now it does about 400km/50litres. I think my afm or something is stuffed. Runs wayyy tooo rich. Ocassionally loves to hunt too. Need to find out the prob soon, but i don't drive the car much so i don't feel it as much. Oh wells.

p/s: anyone got any idea to my prob? I searched around and came up with, O2 sensor, AFM(which i already cleaned with contact cleaner), The thing at the end of the plenum.. what's it called again? LoL. Those are the 3 things.

the amount you get out of a tank depends alot on how you drive it

and if you have the windows down or the aircon on

having the windows down decreases the aerodynamics of the vehicle and results in poor economy

i can get about 450km around town on a tank in my 33 with the windows up and not giving it much shit

unfortunately i can hear alot fuel not being exploded in the engine but in the exhaust

i wish i had an RB20DET in there.

mine's an FJ20DET, my engine goes way back but it's only done just over 160,000kms.

afm's been a bit of a worry lately so once that's fixed (tuesday) then hopefully it'll run a bit better.

Average 430km or so for 60lt in my GTR (N1 turbos/bigger injectors/fuel pump/PFC Djetro/1.5bar of boost etc)

Used to get about the same in my old GTR (stock)

My HR31 was awesome averaging 11l/100km around town and even better on the country hauls. Wish i still had that sort of economy.

    • For fuelling the Haltechs have O2WB fuel controllers. Very useful for helping tuning VE and correcting for *small* mistakes. Of course if your injector/cam/trigger/sensor data is just wrong (or for a GTT which is not a GT) then you will get impossible reactions to things. I am sure you know this already but the reason people don't typically put haltechs (or any Aftermarket ECU) on GT's is because there's practically no real gains to be had - So this knowledge won't be commonplace.
    • Can someone tell me if the cracks seen in the rear sway bar bushings in these photo's is unacceptable from a roadworthy point of view?
    • Shouldn't need a "base map" for anything other than guidance to ignition tuning. You just need the engine capacity right, the injector size right, and something, almost anything, for a VE map. On an NA engine, fuelling is almost completely a function of load signal & rpm. It should run and drive with a completely flat fuel map. It will be too lean under load, but that's easily fixed. We used to tune all ECUs without any base map. There were no such things (until someone had tuned a near stock engine on one, and then they had a "base map".
    • What did you actually buy/how much did it cost? When I got mine in like.. 2017...? 2019? the aim was to run Torque for gauges via ODB2 and things like Track Addict/Laptimers/Dashcam/Reversecam/Spotify etc. Mine never broke, but I wonder if you've got the same needs (it sounds like it). Cause I liked the idea of being able to do anything with it. That said, yours also cost 3x the cost of what I spent so... food for thought.
    • For me there is a massive difference in manufacturer or big brand crippled android (Sony, Kenwood etc) vs the sort of thing I've installed here, which is basically just a tablet in DIN form factor with open Android, and the other model of course is mirroring - Android Auto/Carplay. I hate the locked down manufacturer and AA options where they decide what apps I'm allowed to install, including the Launcher but also importantly things like Ecutek (for this car) or Real Dash (Stagea) are not supported. Plus those crippled versions tend to be slower due to both overheads and lower spec hardware. On the other hand, when this breaks I'll likely be in trouble for support....but how is that different to owning an Infiniti anyway
