No you know what, I am really pissed off right now. I will write in

You know what shits me more. Of that road toll, how many were drag racing? HONESTLY. I reckon maybe 5% of them. The other 95% were people who were idiots crossing the road when they shouldnt be, were trying to drive brisbane melbourne in a day, were drunk, were eating while driving, were just plain morons.

Furthur. I remember a few years ago the goverment was going to invest in shelters for drug addicts to shoot up in. I am not sure if that happend, but shit, they can put money towards getting druggies off the street, but they totally neglect the fact that we too need a place of our own.

I know a mate with a 180sx. This guys NEVER taken it over 4k i reckon. I know people with 250kw SHOW CARS. This furthur reinforces my idea of being the drivers mentallity, not the car. If i had a 250kw car, id use it as such. BUt many many people dont. So there is no way you can blame the cars.

Finally, i dont see many clapped out imports going around. 99% of import drivers see a problem and have it fixed in a week. Mate, give me a shitbox and ill drive it into he ground. Then ill just abandon it and buy another clapper.

werd. in all honesty... a hoon will be a hoon in any car, regardless if it is modified or not, i know some people that own shitbox charades and drive crazy as hell ( i dont condone it.. im just using it as an example ). it isnt modified in any way, and maxes out at 140 or so.

once again i will state that whole story was just a bunch of typical today tonight bullshit.

This therefore misrepresents us and our cars and our behaviour quite dramatically and I have a good mind to write to Channel 7 and or Mediawatch to ask them where they sourced their footage.

Thoughts / Comments ??

Don't bother screwing around with contacting the people who are trying to get the old folks to believe that all car enthusiasts are hoons.

Instead, contact the show that the old folks watch to find out how much they're being lied to by the media.

:D

There will always be a portion of the population that speeds, does burnouts, does drugs, cheats on people, rapes childrens, f**king eats horse shit. Its call individuality you pricks!

WHERE ARE ALL THE STORIES ON SUICIDE

you might want to rethink that comment before writing in to anywhere...

raping kids makes someone an individual?

Yes, it does.

Just like the charicter on prison break...the white raper guy, he has his own personal charicter, which makes him individual to everyone else....hence. individuality. I mean, id kick his head in, but yes he is still his own individual self.

Just watched the story. Well, fair enough really but to tell you the truth, the more they push, the more we push.

And yes, that was on a track at the start, unless it was like... a big massive carpark in rural AU

we should all go out in commodores one day and be "hoons" hahha i wonder what story will they make out of that?.. or will they still try to push the fact that hoons only drive imports hahahah

ie: said a commodore was a 200sx hahahah (if anyone saw that on the paper lol a few weeks back)

There ya go.

Its the broadband version. All copyrights are to Today Tonite. Im posting it for educational purposes. DO NOT SUE ME!

Thanks - well done :)

dont know that i agree that there were "blatantly racist overtone" of muslims being hoons, i didnt see as look as much into it. But i do know that 99% of the cars i see on the roads "hooning" are people driving VL's, VN's, VK's. XY's, Kingswoods, EL's and other fords/holdens. I mean i dont think most skyline owners are stupid enough to thrash the crap out of a performance car.. specially a manual. Most of the fords and holdens mentioned above cost below $5k are auto and are in crappy condition... Owned by sh*t knackers out to impress friends and fu*k around. Cant say ive ever seen a skyline doing a burnout or doughey's on a public road.. accelerating fast yes, not often speeding.. Today tonight using stereotypes to get a decent story again methinks

Edited by r32 gts-turbo

just a butterup for the hoon laws here in Vic really.

For a article about street racing, what does the Syd MEO have to do with that. hink that was the most absurd part.

I do agree, the "hooning" footage looked to be in a controlled environment.

Another shameful TT news piece

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
