im got insurance thru justcars,

$2856, last year 19 years old no fines or claims insured for 22k,

this year $2156, 20 years old no fines or claims insured for 22k.

the $700 drop was good but i still think i'm being ripped a bit, but thats what i get for owning a nice car with abs n airbags at my age ;)

at least im the only one of my friends that can comp. insure a turbo or v8 (bogan VK - VN drivers)

NEED HELP! Im 16 and looking at getting an R33 GTS-T (non-turbo) for my first car and before i go out and buy one, i need to no roughly how much the insurance is going to cost me?

I'm looking at around 1993-1996, non-turbo R33, GTS-T. Spending apox $9000-$11000. Ive looked on Insurance web sites and i havent been able to get a quote straight away. I have been offerd around $530 TPFT, is this about right?

Can anyone help? ? ? ? ? ? :P

i dont think Famous exist anymore, or do they?

Yes they are still around - tried for a quote the other day with them but their underwriter wont insure anyone with a theft claim in the last 5 year (like me) :P but was looking good til i told them that.

and will shannons insure you if you cant keep your car garaged every night?

Tell them.

They have a right to refuse to pay a claim under the duty of disclosure, if they have a reasonable amount of backing to prove had you disclosed that information they wouldn't have insured you in the first place. They have a right to ask for a licence and driving history print-off from your state motoring body. You will get found out if you don't tell and you make a claim.

Best thing to do is call up and say it should have been noted from inception.

stupid thing is also, theres the evidence!!! :D

If I were you I would call them, as GT-R32 said or dont drive the car cause claim time...good bye 15k and the 2k insurance that you have paid for nothing.

I got the insurance 2 years ago and have my license back and have another car insured through them now. just tried to share a funny story.

Yep, Trust me claims officers in Insurance companies check everything. There number one priority is to rule out faulty disclosure. When they read you your "duty of disclosure" when you take out a policy you agreed for them to deny a claim if you lie.

update on isurance, just running round getting quotes.

Insurance sucks is the update for people living in sydney and under 25.

Vigil doesnt insure people in sydney

Shannons not under 25 for skylines

Famous (young and cool as well, famous have taken them over now) - wont insure turbos if you have had a claim- not at fault or at fault in the last year

Ryno - not under 25

Just car = bloody expensive and no pay by the month

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
