hahaha.

I love it how the guys say it's a mix of 50% leather 50% plastic. I said to them leather is not like cake mix ingredient. You can't just mix it with plastic.

Their thing is totally synthetic. It's not '50% leather'.

But yeah, if it gets down to 400, i would seriously consider it if I didn't have to pay $50 postage on top.

but is that with the wrinkle too? probably not. so it's more like 400+50 postage+50 wrinkle, which ends up being $500. not so cheap anymore.

i never said 50 % leather 50% plastic...i said it was vinyl that looks and feels like leather...

and i highly doubt the other stuff is leather, in fact i would be suprised if its any different...and for $350 if you can get wrinkle and include postage i would buy a few for myself in diff colours...anyway nuff said.

by the way sorry to whore your thread warren, but i just cant stand people talking shit.

no worries mate..

i know you're just excited because you are going to get yourself a set of these :/

i am excited mate every since i went to ultimate trim last week...

i am just trying to save couple hundred bux for myself and others by organising this group buy...and i have visited few other auto trimmers in melbourne and i know how much real leather is compared to this product and i know there is no way anyone can do real leather for 350 delievered...

i just hope mine looks as hott as yours dude.. :O

Hey mate, they look HOT. Nice buy.

Hypothetically speaking, lets say someone knows someone who owns a leather factory overseas. How could they obtain the exact measurements required, for say, an R32 GTR or R34 GT-T? If only i could get exact numbers!

PS.

My uncle owns a leather factory in Pakistan.

given my mechanical knowledge which is about medium and my availability of tools which is pretty low, i would say it was a 3/10

tools required:

ratchet with 14mm and 10mm heads

phillips-head screwdriver

crowbar (to remove back seat easily)

Remove 4 bolts per front seat

Place covers over bottom of front seats and secure

Slide covers over top and secure

Slide over top of headrests and secure

Remove back seat. 2 clips under bottom, 2 bolts for back

Place covers over and secure

Reverse the above to re-install

The hardest thing is sliding the cover over the top of the front seats as its a tight fit

the guy is my friend, if you came to melbourne auto showoff you'd noticed my car(white r33 gts-t) as model car :D

i'll put some picture tomorrow if you dont mind

hey man i went to th auto showoff your car was next to the honda with tan "leather" yours had black and white? il post some if you want hehehe

i tripped out because your car looked very similar to mine, i think it was the only white r33 there

not sure of the code

they called the colour "ivory"

its darker than white, but lighter than the cream

I think the color code was M012. Have a look on the Ebay link at the top there is a chart of colors that you can choose from.

Thanks, should help when I come to install mine.

ha ha you like the gear knob? i haven't seen ANY auto's with aftermarket gear knobs and i have no idea why! i bought mine for $50 from ebay

it ws easy to make up the switch actually.. the hardest part was getting the old gear knob off - required quite a bit of modification eg cutting things off

There's 2 wires that run to the gear knob. When not connected, O/D is on. When they are connected this turns the overdrive off. I think its designed that way so that you can not accidentally lose O/D ifthe wire gets cut somewhere accidentally...

So i just made a switch and connected the 2 wires to the switch. When the switch is off, the O/D is on, and vise versa

Warren.

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
