Jason ZX2NV not slicks semi slicks DOT but not street legal, and don't give these SAU boys amo re tyres.

Either way bloody good time. My fisrt day at Eastern Creek back in 98 I think it was with my stock standard R33 GTS-T was 2 min flat. Yes I owned a GTS-T back when no one else did.

I saw someone taking photos at the last turn into the straight a few times. Silver Arrows maybe?

Yeah that's me.

I got lots but need a bit of time to process them. I thought it would be done by last night but hopefully by tonight or tomorrow.

Very eventful day!!

Was good fun, but respects go to the owner of the RX7... im just glad noone got hurt as i was only standing a couple of meters away when it went 'whoosh'... gotta tell you thou, these 1kg fire extinguishers are good for putting out an ant fart and that is all.....

As for the rest of it.... glad to get sub 2:00 ending up with 1:58, but thanks to Adam for giving me something to chase down :D It's ok Adam you may of had a fuel problem but hey i am taking this win to the bank... casue im sure it will be the only one :D

Must say the semi's are officially shagged.... coming out of Turn 2 was just a sideways affair.... :sorcerer:

Oh well next time the car should be running a bit more go fast bits... getting a bit sick of just running a car with just the usual air filter, FMIC, cat back exhaust.... i need more power!!! PFC, Turbo, Injectors and Turbo back exhaust please SANTA!!!!

Oh yeah and also i would like to go faster than 180-190km/hr down the straight!! Stupid ECU and speed delimiter.... i was hitting it before even reaching the pit entrance!!

Thanks to everyone who organised the day and also to Paul and Abo (Adam) for some helpful tips....

Till next time ............................ :D

PS.. Big thanks to Mal for the lend of the fire extinguisher so i could get onto the track!!!!

gotta tell you thou, these 1kg fire extinguishers are good for putting out an ant fart and that is all.....

like I keep telling people pay the extra couple of peanuts for a BFI one, which put out 4 times the amount of fire as all the other brands I have ever seen/used. food for thought after this little mishap.

disclaimer: they wont put out a whole car on fire though!!!

I'll quote myself from just a couple of weeks ago...

Consider getting a larger one if you can (1.5kg?). I had to use mine very briefly on the way back from the last wakefield day, and a 0.25 second squirt sent it well into the red (ie. needs to be recharged). It will be worth the extra $$ if you need to use it

Yes big thanks to Adam for doing all the groud work.

Also when you get a good diff in your car you will be much quicker and might upset a few GTR owners in town.

If anyone took any photos of my car (#25, old 4 door hatchback skyline, grey) send me a pm or email or something. I wouldn't mind getting a few snaps of it bucketing along.

No worries. I'm just a cog in a machine. Makes me happy to see so many people loving the track.

    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
