Bit harsh there Phil, he may own that R34GTR. Feel sorry for the owner, but that is why i don't like towing cars on hired trailers, that are not properly maintained. I have seen this too many times, to take the risk.

I drive a Ford, does that make me a dumb-ass too? (retorical question no need for answers thanks ).

My Ford comes free. With free; servicing; insurance; petrol; etc (not so dumb after all, hey >_<)

meh, i get cut-off, tail-gated, blocked in the fast lane by fords, by far the most often so i feel i have justification to stereotype this guy

Just to stir the pot a bit more:

F.O.R.D - Fix Or Repair Daily >_<

Errr Hi everyone,

It is my GTR.

the accident happened a couple of weeks ago, and the only one injured was me - torn muscles in my back and neck (pretty much better now).

The car is not written off. In fact the damage was relatively minor and she should be back on the road hopefully by the end of August.

that is the grey 34 as seen at recent events such as Sandown. Poor Neil got into a spot of bother towing it down the hill past Pikes Ck on the Western Hwy and ended up killing BOTH his cars.

Don't put shit on him for driving a Ford. I've also got an AU. It's a bloody good car, possibly the sexiest four door ever made.

Thanks Aaron,

The ford was good - allowed me to get out of this scrape with minimal injuries - but as for the "sexiest" 4-door, I'm not so sure >_<

When I say "relatively'', if it was a commodore and not a GTR, it would have been about $12,000 to fix, but because of the price of parts etc on the gtr you can multiply by about a factor of 4!

All panels down the passenger side rooted, nose ripped off (going to put a nismo front bar on as a replacement), passenger side suspension components damaged etc.

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
