first thing. get the seats out to remove any little hidden chunks. the reasemble and take it to a steam cleaning place, or hire a steam cleaner for the day. as to whether or not you should ask her for the $$ that's up to you. if it was me i probably wouldn't ask, but on the other hand if i was in her position (vomitted on someones car) I would offer to pay.

yeah definitely... she should be polite and offer to pay!

can you please confirm your whereabouts at the time of this incident?

hmm

So you should pay for a new pair of shoes for Liz? or to steam clean her foot?

LMFAO!

:yucky::laugh::rofl::rofl:

hmmm.. Where? What? How Much? hmmmm

Did this story involve the Lowenbrau in Sydney ?

hmmm rofl

*runs for the hills to find a seat in the corner of the hills*

Absolutely no idea but baking soda absorbs smells, and shit if ur that desperate maybe as a last resort after all cleaning has been done use some sort of scented oil to over power the smell. haha. i dont know. go get half a kilo of prawns and leave them bagged outside in the sun for a week, then throw them thru her car.

Off to coles to hit up the baking soda - might have a line before so i cant smell that shit no more

Far Out I cant beleive she didnt hold it she would of know she was going to chuck she could of told you and you could of pulled over and got her out.............So definatly she should be coughing up some money....

I would be replacing the seats and anything else that got soiled in the accidents cause it is true you will never get rid of the smell it will definatly come back in summer.......

Good Luck

Feel sorry for you I would hat that to happen to me >_<

I feel so sorry for you man.

If she doesn't offer to pay by tomorrow (it's the right thing to offer) I would definately hit her up for the bill.

It really depends how you see it. I read before she is NOT your type, so there goes one form of payment. If she was really really sweet and apoligised every day and every night I would let it slide.

If not, and she snobs you out of 'embarrasment' or pure snobbiness I would be giving her the bill. It's not as if she can say "I didn't do it" lol!

This story/thread has made me think twice about dropping my drunken friends home. I feel so sorry for you though

She wasnt anywhere near sick when we go in the car..... Shes at work today and she hasnt said or done anything, not even a "Im sorry" - Thats the thing that pisses me off the most... she dosnt show any respect -

There wasnt even a "Im gonna be sick" I just turned to see that vomiting scene from the EXORCIST

that sux dude.

as everyone said, remove the seats, you gotta get the chunks out from underneath

use baking soda, rub it in real good, leave it for an hour or so, then wash it off.

let the seats dry in the shade / fresh air.

then spray them with febreeze antimicrobial (from supermarkets). It'll kill the bacteria that causes the smell.

Hopefully you'll be good to go, otherwsie, replace the seat.

I got the impression this chick is the type you'd make pay for it. so make her pay for it.

That's just not on.

I'd be slamming her with the bill so hard.

Not even a sorry? Far out.. I bet she didn't even say thanks for the lift/help.

damm i feel for u

im not sure but did u say she spewed down the door cause id be takin the door trim of and cheakin in there cause my mates vn our mate missed out the window and it went down the window into the door

Nah the door was open... just on the door jamb bit...

Ok so i just saw her and she gave me one of those obligated im sorrys

Also offered to pay for it but "cant for a while "

Obviously going to be one of those things that never comes to fruition

Meh life goes on.... let u know how the clean goes :S

Also offered to pay for it but "cant for a while "

GTR upgrade it is then... Dude you will nver fully get rid of 1/2 a litre of spew smell, let alone 3-4 litres. Get all the affected peices of trim out now! before it has time to lingure and infect the cabin...

Stupid bitch.. should have asked to stop, or open the window at least...

THat smell will neveer go away. Trust me on that one. Every time you get into the car, you'll feel like throwing up yourself.

It's got nothing to do with politeness. If that were me, she would be paying for a new interior. I wouldn't make her pay for cleanable things liek the winndows or the door trim etc. But basiaclly carpet, seats etc.

It's her fault for getting so totally smashed. If she knew she was going to throw up, she shoulda said something and gotten out.

She damaged your property, she pays. There is no reason why you should have to suffer because of someone elses stupidity.

E.g. like if smoeoine ran into your front of the car and damaged it, they pay. simple as that. It's got nothign to do with niceness like oh, maybe I won't get them to pay because they're nice.

If you compare it to the analogy of someone running into your car, the answer is simple.

If she's worth knowing, she woulda offered to pay already. maybe she forgot to offer. If you get her to pay and she still talks to you, then she still falls into this category.

BUT, if she bitches and winges and hates you, then she isnt' worth knowing anyway.

If I did that to my friend's car or anyone's car (apart from a taxi muhahaha) I would offer to fix it in a heartbeat.

    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
