Idle speed when cold...

When the engine is cold, my idle speed is around 800rpm.

I think the idle speed when cold is around 1600rpm?

Is there something wrong with my engine?

1600?? thats a bit high ... thers been lots of threads about this before ... but mine is about 1200 when cold ... goes down to about 600 or so when warmed up, ie when the temp gauge is half way up

same here 1200 cold 800 warm

mine sits at about 1100rpm cold, then after 5-10mins goes down to 650-700rpm

If the engine doesn't stall, I wouldn't worry about.

that's might be something fm AAC value too....cheap the hardness...the lower plug is related to the cold idle... otherwise, check your water temp sensor....did u ever change that b4??? GTS's water temp is diff than other Nissan car .it's specified.for 33 GTS...to change the sensor may help u fix it.....

dude if ur wonderign y its high when the engine is cold its cos it has an auto choke

there're two sensors over there...1 is for temp gauge & the other goes to ECU which lead the AAC value open....try disconnet that & see if any diff......

some dude on here with an R34 GTT had the same problem a while ago though, cant remember his nick. mine ides at around 1100 when cold, and 0650 when warm
