Top right of the screen where all the buttons are there is a white and blue one that says OP. Click it for options fitted to vehicle. A lot of older vehicles will show jibberish... newer ones will be in engrish.

Thanks Psymon, just comes up with lots of pages of Japanese.

Bis-e Bee - That VIN doesn't work in my version of FAST, but I think my data might be fairly old and may not have stags in it. Either that or Im doing something wrong. Im new to all this.

You're probably doing it right, the versions of FAST floating around on the internet are fairly dated and seem to be missing a lot of VIN data. I work for Nissan so my version of FAST gets regular updates.

Someone please FAST this one for me, I am running 64bit windows and cannot get it installed :(

Thanks Psymon, much appreciated. Could I also trouble you to do an options screen shot?

This one was supposedly factory fitted with "some" Nismo options, just wondering if that is genuine.

It's currently got Nismo wheels, bodykit (including rear wing), Momo steering wheel, I assume suspension too but havn't had that closer look yet.

Thanks again!

Hi all,

could someone run these part numbers in FAST and see what it comes up as (if at all)

nissan part#

98584 77F00

98584 26U00

98584 20U00

one of them hopefully should be an srs aibag module for a type x 180sx... But not having much luck so far..

Cheers guys

None of those numbers worked for me. Had a quick look and there's 3 numbers for drivers airbag module to suit a type x 180sx. If you can grab me a VIN from it I can narrow it down.

Sheeeit, how do I google translate a PDF?

Well I uploaded it to this site that converts it to text so it will be easy to run through google translate easily. I'll post the link up here when it's done.

Edit: Hmm didn't end up working how I'd wanted, back to square one :(.

Probably better off finding the ones that correspond to your VIN and just translating those few lines rather than having a crack at 8 pages.

There should only be 4 lines that apply for each model code.

Characters 14 - 18 (in your case HCDBA). I got really bored so i did yours.

16 Inch Aluminium Wheels

Sports Rear something (kept translating as interface or boiler... maybe spoiler??)

Sports Seats (i think) + GTS25T(more jibberish)

something about Stereo Components

Passenger Airbag

Here is the original 5 descriptions if anyone wants a crack at translating better. Not sure if the forums will display japanese characters though.

16インチアルミホイール

リヤワイパー+リヤスポイラー

ポーツシート+GTS25タイプS/S(4ドア)

コンビステレオ

助手席エアバッグ

    • Hard to say, just pop the rocker covers off and have a look if you think it's cammed. You probably need to replace the valve cover gasket/half moons anyways.

    • Driveline vibration is resolved. I ended up loosening all my engine mount and trans mount bolts, giving it a good shake then retightening everything and it's gone... Let's just say I was surprised that fixed it.  I've been happily driving it around again but unfortunately put zero time into my direct port/constant pressure WMI setup. I'm on vacation next week, so I'll try and finalize it then.  On a different note, I spent all week fuel/ignition mapping 2x 216L V16 engines. Turbo's were burning glycol and we swapped them out for larger units. We also had planned emissions testing on site, so I figured I'd be there the same week to use their instrumentation and massage any emissions issues out if needed. This was a first for me. Fuel management is similar in certain ways to automotive (i.e air density as load variable) but very different in others. It's all PLC based and AFR's are controlled by air and not fuel. They use a control valve between the turbo and air manifold to control pressure which in turn controls AFR's. Due to this, target AFR tables supplied by the OEM are in pressures and not mass which really through me off. They use air pressure vs fuel pressure tables. I also relied on an O2 concentration sensor the emissions team had in the exhaust. Ignition timing was also all over the place and we were losing a fair bit of power. They're now happily sitting at 16-40BTDC depending on load. We were making about 1600kw at 900rpm at 90% load. Engines were running a lot smoother as well.
