Well, as of about ten minutes ago, my car (and my house and electronics, dog, other pets and mortgage) is all I have!!

Be thankful for all you have. You can always buy another car....maybe an even better one???

i completely agree with you toy33. i sold my gtr and gtst both the same time.. now im regretting it .. so much so i went and bought a S2 steaga just to keep myselg and missus happy.. i think its the time when you buy it stock and spend time money doing it up to your individual taste.. like a dream car .. suddenly its all gone..

my lifes ended in a way ... gone are the days of owning a gtr for me..

I feel that fer any car lover, he/she would feel sad seeing their wotever car leave them, needless to say fer a GTR, which is a car with a racing heritage and all that aura, the pain is even stronger...well in every negative situation, there is a positive to be salvaged out somehow, cheer up! I cannot imagine if i have to let go of my GTR too..

If your missus doesn't understand, maybe you should have just sold her instead....

 Thought about it!

After a weekend (Genesis - not 6mths) of sulking around the house the girlfriends had enough already  I'm on the prowl for something new! .

Thanks for all the pics guys, good times, except Jason. Now I am seriously looking at two potential track cars this week :)

Now the money pit has been filled in for nearly a week its time to dig another one :woot:

Attached is my tribute to my ex *bottom lip starts to shake and eyes to start to water*

I sold my R33 GTS-t in Feb because my missus was pregnant and I was meant to buy a house, after about 2 months i just couldn't take it any more and bought a stock R33 GTR ... I just can;t stand to be without my skyline but i know I'll have to sell it in about a years time when i buy a house - espically now intertest rates are on the rise :(

I feel your pain and if it makes you feel any better I did actually shed a tear the night i went home and saw no R33 in the shed :)

Thanks for all the pics guys, good times, except Jason. Now I am seriously looking at two potential track cars this week

OI! :(

You are doing the right thing. When I sold my GTR I still had to have a car to go to the track with, and although the GTST is not as quick (about 2.5-3sec a lap slower), it won't cost me as much to get it as quick and the money pit isn't quite as big and I am still out there having fun.

BTW, didn't I pass you just after that pic I posted :P

that was one mean gtr! I dont know how i will cope either man.....so ur not alone...

*just turned around to look at the r33 gts-t waiting in the driveway*

Think i might go hug my car now........

So maybe looking for a cefiro? $55k? (thats what a subaru 6cyl blitzen liberty is worth these days yeah? hey lets make it $53k cash, Im sure I could haggle a deal)!

Yes sad tho. All your money goes in to it, then you sell it for less than your 3 top mods.

BTW, didn't I pass you just after that pic I posted :D

I don't think so Jason, I spun thank you :) Oh no that was on the warm up lap. Sorry yes you were a tad faster than me that day in the wet. I think I drove like my granma that day :O

This is one of the main reason I sold the old girl. It sat in the garage more than it got driven, and when it did get driven I was stressing about all the idiot bloody drivers/racers we have on our roads, where i parked it etc.

Also when it did enter the track I didn't find the GTR's limits as I was (a) worried about putting it in the wall :P or (b) spinning a bearing :D:D Therefore I am looking at a R33 Gtst II again (I had one previously and I am not copying you Jason!) or a cheap R32 Gtst with a 2.5 conversion. As well as putting some $$$ back in the bank.

Given all that, I wouldn't have not owned a GTR as there is just nothing like driving one and anyone that is thinking of buying one go for it, just be aware that you will also have to grab a shovel and start digging a money pit as they not only enjoy being driven hard they also enjoy having money spent on them (there's a joke in there about my girlfriend but I will not go there :O )

*Also looking at a MY00 STI Version 6 in a week, but keeping it quiet on this site*

    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
    • Well the articals keep saying a Q50s (Skyline in Japan) with a new Manual gearbox. I like the talk about the new looks with the round tail lights. I hope they bring back the retro look like they did with the Z
