dont think the dpi or insurance company is gonna waste their time fining your mum if she has 4 cars under her name they must be happy that your mum has 4 cars so more money for insurance and rego

woop di do if your skyline is under your name

ye with my new job ive been thinking of getting a lapo. driving the gtr in peak hour traffic sux, and i can see my self loosing my licence from all the hurting ive been giving it when ever the oppertunity arises.

might go with another laser, TX3 prefered.

get a motorbieeeeeeeeeek

Makes no difference how many cars you have in your name, I have 3 atm, the problem is you become classified a dealer when you buy and sell a certain amount of vehicles within a 12 month period :)

Heres my Daily drivers.

I find for daily drivers I always try to buy late model vehicles from Auction, mostly Pickles, and update every few years. This way you have reliable transport, and do not lose much money at all when updating.

The Magna I have had for 2 1/2 years now, I paid $11750, slapped $2000 of wheels and suspension on it (even though its a daily it has to look good, and be individual!), it literally has 'not' cost me a cent, I should still be able to sell it for between 10-11G, meaning I have lost about $1000 per year which is pretty good.

I will soon update it to the 'Ugly' 04 TL Style Magna which with 50'000kms are going thru auction currently at $12'000 and again slap the 18's etc on it.

The Paj I picked up from Pickles in Sydney for $20'000 around 8 months ago, it is our family vehicle and mainly gets used on weekends, cost $1100 to truck from Sydney.

I work for a car yard and get a company car, so my daily driver is different nearly every day. I wouldnt know what to suggest because they are all so damn BORING to drive! Even after driving so many different cars, every single one leaves me hangin out to get my ass back in the 32.

If you are set on gettin something though an old corolla or corona is probably best

datsun 1200 ute, worked a14 turbo, intercooler etc.

Still pretty cheap to run except for maybe occasionally blowing up a little $50 gearbox that you can carry in one hand, and destruction to tyres.

The old other car was the V8 Volvo station wagon, I still miss it , so much fun...

if your looking for something thats cheap to run petrol wise then go for something like a civic, i got a 95 hatch back, does about 6 litres per 100km, i took my hub caps off, huge tacho and a muffler along with a perofrmance shopping list down each door and some race mirrors and there you have it lol people will laugh but then the look on there faces are pricless when they see your other ride :) , it looks abit like this :)

my dail driver is not exacly a fuel miser I drive a 2005 territory RWD but then I have my reasons for large car. My daughter is in a wheelchair and need the boot space for the chair and the higher ride means its easier to put her into the car.

moral of the story is find a car that is practical to your needs not someone elses you know what size car you want so set yourself a budget and go and test drive a few cars to find out what you like.

    • Glad to hear. If possible, get your tuner to check air's to make sure everything is still where it should be.
    • The problem with FB/Insta/Reddit etc comments relating to cars is simple. You get to ask a question once, and get one round of replies. For things that can actually be answered in a few lines of text, once, it's fine. After 6 hours, your original question is lost to the void. There are no follow ups, additional questions, anything. No project car is ever such a simple list of questions to ask. You need discussion.
    • Welcome.  Here's what I have noticed about forum vs FB..... FB; seems to be wallet racing, and the same few questions asked over and over. There *may* be some groups that are closer knit, but most have changed for the worse. SAU; unfortunately, no longer in its glory days. But....genuine people with similar interests. Not all about how much you spent and saying you dont have enough power. Sooooooo much knowledge available. Have personally seen people post up about literally topics I made myself, asking on FB like no one has done it before. Most has been done, and most of that is here.   If you ever feel like just general chatting theres the wasteland.  Other interests are also generally covered in other areas of the forum. Hope you enjoy hanging around. We would love to have you.   P.s. nice 32 😀
    • Nah, natural progression is euro. Because, we're all gluttons for punishment. And, what's more punishing than euro?
