the series 1.5 came out in 95 only i believe - check your coil packs and follow the plugs that plug into them. If it plugs into a square box that has another plug connected to it going to the engine harness then its a series 1 engine.

If its just pluged into a plug with no square box then its a engine wich is a mix between series 1 and series 2

Its got coils with ignitors built in and it does not have a plastic front wheel on the turbo but still has ceramic rear (same as series 1 turbo)

well my car is a r33 series 1 style ....but it has the series 2 motor in it , the car was made in late 1994....so what have I got a series 1 or 2 ...or the rare SAU 1.5? hahahahah

.....oh this is the motor which was made with the car! not dropped in after!

they do

yeah i thought series 1 had variable cam timing too.

also this tps plug not used on S1 manual, but is used on S2 manual. Dunno if that applies in the R32 setup though.

thats a series 1 motor. series 2 have a rounder tps, and it has 2 plugs (although both not always connected).

as for the series 1.5, they weren't a true model, but just a mix match. they have a series 2 wing, series 1 interior, series 1 bodykit, and most have a series 2 motor, drivers airbag as standard.

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
