If you get something like the hks kit youwould get the whole lot to convert right down to bolts and nuts and hoseclaps, what wereyou lokkingat the kit or just the turbo? al tho the turbo should be a direct replacement but i carn remember if they use braided oil and waterlines or keepstock ones.

But a 2530 is not reallyany bigger than stock a 2540 would be a nice

alternative ,what sort of power are you chassing.

Cheers:)

ive updated to a 2530 on my 33.. i got a complete kit from HKS, along with the turbo i got water/oil flex lines, washers, bolts, nuts, hoses, clamps etc. the turbo is bolt on and quiet easy to install.. the only problem i had was a water hose behind the engine which i couldnt get to, so i had to take off my left tapper cover to reach it..

even though the 2530 isnt much bigger then the stock turbo, ive noticed a quicker on boost response, and able to boost it over 16psi nicely.. with a fuel pump, ecu, injectors and the rest of the supporting intake mods, you could push them to 260rwkw+.

260rwkw i doubt it, however you will notice alot more midrange power

well im on 232rwkw atm, thats with a stocker fuel pump and injectors and SAFC II.. the reason i couldnt push it anymore was cause of my fuel pump maxing out.. im hoping for another 20-30rwkw with a fuel pump, injectors and PFC..

Im not going to get into any dyno fights but i think your dyno is reading high. I reached my limit around the 200rwkw with the fuel pump. SAFC 2 is only a bandaid fix, you need a PFC for a nice smooth graph line, i tried the SAFC, was nice until i changed turbos and bigger boost. You will also need a Z32 AFM and Fuel Regulator. I was reaching nearly max with the 2530. Anyway , should be good for a mid 12 1/4.

lol.. well im not gonna get into a dyno war neither dude, but i never said i got that figure just with SAFC II, as i have other supporting mods.. and Autotech in fyshwick, ACT is a preferred dyno shop, i doubt there dynos would be off as it gets quiet a lot of satisfied customers..

also this business with maxing out the fuel pump at 200rwkw, this may happen with the stock ECU and no tune of the AFRs, but mine is reducing 11% fuel @ 6000rpm, keeping the fuel pump from maxing out..

the stock AFM is a problem ive noticed, as i cant boost it over 16psi..

I dare say you will struggle to make anymore then you have, but if you do ill be impressed! I had a 2530Kai which only made about 212rwkw @ 1.2bar. I was running Z32 AFM, Nismo fuel pump, splitfire coil packs, Nismo 555cc injectors, pfc etc etc. I even dropped the exhaust which only made a few kw more.

I've driven James' RB25 Cefiro which has the 2835 Pro-S on it - all I can say is it tears balls. It's not very laggy, but the mid range and top end is massive. MKDR33 - Either your guy's dyno figures are bullshit, or it's your hectic chrome wheels adding that extra 30kw, because I doubt your car is putting out that much power in reality, especially with a stock fuel pump.

Go a HKS GT2835 pro s, upto 300 with supporting mods.

definitely the turbo of choice for a RB25 ;)

The HKS GTR-S is suppossed to be a very good setup.

Interloper has had alot of success with a new one on his R32 RB20 GTS-4. Suppossed to be good for over 250rwkws with supporting mods etc.

hey i get a mention :)

but yeah, for the RB20 the GTRS is the best choice, i'm certainly happy with mine :)

i was looking to make around 260rwkw i wan a turbo with good midrange thats y i was looking at a turbo that size so what would be the best turbo kit to go for that would give the best midrange i was going to just by the turbo i thought it would bolt straight up, so its better to just buy the kit?

2835 Pro S is what you want. Awesome turbo, best all round for the RB25 imo, and I've seen both side by side and the difference on the same car. BIIIIIIG difference in power and not much lag either.

not sure dude, maybe i will get it dynoed at a different place or maybe its cuz im in canberra and we are 600m above sea level and the BP levels are different to other places? who knows.. my whole exhaust system is changed aswell, from the head (exhaust manifold) to the cat back..

i got no reason to post bullshit on here.. its a surprising result for me too.. in all honesty, i havnt checked to see if the fuel pump is stock, ive had the car for over a year now and dont know if it has an aftermaket fuel pump or not, never have checked, as for the AFM, i know its stock.. here are my dyno results with stock turbo and 2530kai..

and as for the chrome wheel joke, f*k i killed myself laughing..

p.s. both dynos are done with stock 17" rims..

Might be a good idea to get it dynoed at a different place but if your happy it shouldnt make a difference. When I had my 2530Kai I used stock manifold but then again I had everything else and my exhaust had absolutely no restrictions.

autotech has a really reliable dyno it actually reads lower than alot around here in canberra it seems to be pretty accurate if you can call a dyno that lol and peter dowling is the shiz nit >_< that where i get all my work done

agreed slither.. ive been refered to Pete, and i get all my dyno tuning done with him.. quality service for your money.. but some ppl on here (d0p3y) are doubting it, which is quite sad..

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
