Duncan: yes, i thought the boobies would attract the ladies, its gonna attract more ladies than a willy jiggling around. back me u p ladies, boobies look better than a shrivelled up willy?? :uh-huh:

GODf4TH3R: Kinda malaysian? whats that?

33Specz: yeh, but i'm just afraid of rejection. :P

Grandenko: who are all of these Kinda malaysian ppl? but yes, you've been added to the list. yes i'm female, actually i'm a WOMAN. :boobies:

Nizmo: i've seen a pic of ur skyline, its black isn't it? You're gonna hate me, my license plate's N15MO. I'm sorry i've already paid for it and everything and then i came to this forum and found ur nick, and found that ur license plate no. is NIZMO. that's cool tho but hey we'll be sistas :D

saw a blonde girl ( i think) in an R33 this afternoon, but the front bumper was black and the car was white, could have been a minor shunt. so maybe thazz another one, unless its one of the other ladies who have already spoken up here

well caminperth, i don't HATE my lancer, i still love it like my baby. coz it's the first brand spankin new car i've ever bought by myself and i'm really proud of that.

i used to love it to death until one dark day, i was beaten by a hyundai excel. and it dawned on me, I NEED MORE POWER!

so since i've always dreamed of owning and cruising around in a skyline, i thought what the hey? :P

4NGI3 - each to their own.. tho once u have aquired your skyline - u'll find out why they have the cult following they do..

as for being beaten by an excel - don't tell too many ppl about that one hey? hehehe :P

thanks for the welcome dark. and are u saying that i'm hot? well thanks for that too. but u should see me i'm a pig. but thats ok. :D

"a ride of all sorts" what r u refering to there? a pony ride, a ferris-wheel ride, a bumper boat ride, a wild mouse ride, roller coaster ride?

camiperth, i tell EVERYONE that story. its pathetic, but i still love my lancer. :P

33Vspec, yeh sorry i'm just a bit iffy about scabbin lifts. i don't know, i want to go but i'm just, oh i don't know. i'll give it some more thought. :(

angie..

i'm just making a generalisation.. if u say that ur not hot.. u probably are.. most chicks do that.. its not good for them.. always putting themselves down.. my friends (girls) that do that makes me angry.. and i dont wanna say that they're pretty.. especially if my girlfriend is around..

anyway..

ride: well.. yea..

I do make complement if they are, and make sure it's in contex of complement not sleezy pick up line...

cheers

Joe

yea.. i spose.. but my friends (male ) will bag me.. and go

"*cough* pick up *cough*" and its embarrassing..

fark man..

even if i AM trying to pick up..

Guest 4NGI3

yeh but dark i could be a pig chick that's figured that out. so this is my angle, i say i'm a pig so u think i'm hot but really i'm pig. :P think about it :(

joe, you've got it right. compliments go a long way with chicks. just as long as its a relevant compliment and not a pick up line. chicks love it, but when u say it to them they're like, "no i'm not" and go all shy. but we love it tho! :D

33spec2, yes ur very tall.. you must be just ALL MAN! lol :D

DONT BELIEVE JOE!! DOH

hey Ang

Girl how old r you . I am joining this thread now so dont all kill me at once and oh yeah except the post on the previous page.

Anyways Where in perth are you?...roughly obviously, we will all be in your area looking for lancers otherwise

And please love the skylines etc but dont forget about insurance.

It aint no lancer, and it aint no single cam mileage magnet

and also you need to account for therapy so you can ween off constantly wanting to modify it

LOL

peace out

Guest 4NGI3

i'm 23 at the mo' turning 24 later this year. why would everyone kill you at once for joining this thread? are you some kind of hero/sidekick around here? or is it something i just don't get? yeh thats prolly it.

i live south of the river and that's all i'm gonna say. i'm not stupid, you want to steal my lancer don't you?!?! you're just jealous!!

yeh tell me about insurance! i'm having such a hard time trying to get insurance. and why would i want to ween off mods? that's the best part! its like having a kid and spoiling it and buying everything for it. i can't wait!

    • That was the first session so not a lot to take from the day. It was low 20s ambient and the coolant had got to 110 (and obviously had some pressure!) so that still needs to be addressed. I haven't downloaded the data yet but will. I had refilled the auto trans with Redline DT6 because it claimed the best viscosity I could find at 100o. It wasn't really long enough to get a good feel for that; while the trans got to 100o in the session it still wasn't shifting crisply as I hoped. I think I'll try a few more sessions before judging. No steering motor overheat but I'd hope not in only 1 session! But finally the suspension; it was night and day over the standard stuff and the car was a couple of seconds quicker on the same crappy tyres, which is a huge difference. I'll stick with that and get some sway bars and a mechanical diff sorted too and see how that all goes together
    • I guess it’s partially a compromise of how my car is used, wanting to be able to switch from drift to grip with track side on-car adjustment. Also partially with the way the knuckles are set there is more static camber but less dynamic camber gain.
    • OK, so update from the track day on Friday It was a classic "an unfortunate series of events'. There were a few cars around and when i checked my mirror coming out of the fish hook I notice some smoke from the rear of mine. Looked again and it was getting much worse, I figured I'd blown a turbo or something to got off it and pulled off the racing line. However.... since it is a left hairpin into a right kink, I was on the inside of the next corner. There was a car passing me on the left and a big drop off over the ripple strip on the right......and someone had knocked the witch's hat that was on the apex about 1m onto the track. So, between those 3, I decided to mow down the cone and not damage my car/the other car. Right choice, but surprising result.  The car decided the cone was a small pedestrian so it blew the rear bonnet hinges up to protect their head in the upcoming person to car impact....I didn't see that coming and like an airbag deployment it happened super fast. Straight into the pits from there, everything was driving fine but it became clear it was a coolant leak not smoke, it was billowing up onto the windscreen. Onto the trailer and home. I'll do a separate thread about the repair (once I work out what it is ), but the immediate problem was the bonnet wouldn't open because the front was pinched onto the front bar and would not release. Ultimately we unbolted the hinge from the bonnet, pulled it back a little and it released from the front OK. "There's your problem", the top radiator hose had popped off at the radiator.
    • Yeah that looks like great caster, but I'd suggest trying less front camber some time and seeing if it helps with braking without reducing mid corner speed too much
    • I ended up setting the rear 5mm higher than normal to give some clearance.  My plan is to run the least camber I can in the rear which I think with the extra width is going to need to be -1.75 to -2.00° just to get clearance.  Guards have been rolled and pulled as much as they can/I would be wanting to.  front has the Acostal knuckle with the KPI change and the drop etc. So should be okay with the existing settings I have run with AR1s etc Front: Toe total -2mm(1mm out each side) Caster +7.5° Camber -3.8° Ackerman +15°
