Is that docking lol

f**kin love the front, granthem , did you have to cut up the front lip for it to fit ? Also did you use "liquid nails" to attach it?

Only had to trim the Lip ever so slightly because of the cooler. I was fairly impressed with the rest of the fit. No liquid nails needed, it fits so snug that it wouldn't need anything to keep it on! That said I did put 2 small screws in the wheel arches just to be safe.

Took a while to track down the kouki 4 door parts tho...

Grant, car's still looking good as always. And Nick, loving the awesome action shots of your GTR! That's definitely where a GTR belongs - on track.

Here's a recent photo of my car (the white one) and RBScreamer's freshly sprayed R33 in a custom shade of dark pink:

Is it a genuine lip or a Viva Garage copy?

Why does everyone buy Vivagarage, Genuine is nearly the same price before shipping. It doesn't have the same non roundy bits either.

I needed mine ASAP for a wedding. Couldn't wait 6 weeks plus for delivery so I bit the bullet.

The Viva quality is alot better then I expected. Required no trimming to fit the bar at all (like I said, only the cooler). That said I would have gone genuine through Jesse Streeter or someone if I had the time.

Who made the original in Jappo land anyway?

Flat black on white, don't think it would work..white is easy enough to do with a spray can anyway and still look good..

Though dark charcoal or gunmetal grey does work well with white..

I'm wondering what satin black would look like against my gunmetal grey.

Genuine gear is really strange. I like to think of japanese workmanship being pretty good, but even with big name companies it can be hit and miss.

I know a mate who got (from memory) Dmax carbon roof wing, rear lip etc for his S15. The roof wing is the worst for finish, fitment I have ever seen. Overall it is disgustingly bad and was purchased through a reputable shop as a genuine dealer I believe. That said, the lip was good.

That alone sometimes scares me from spending oodles on legit stuff I've never seen in the flesh.

here is a couple pics of how my interior has now turned out.

originally had r34 gtr front seats and r34 gtr steering wheel.

Now has Bride seats, door trims front and rear and momo race wheel with D1 carbon quick release hub

I built my own bolt in half cage seeing as i have the skills and equipment available at work (basically work payed me to build my cage seeing it was done during work hours)

i also got rid of the sound deadening in the back seat and sprayed the rear black

I have removed the climate controll, all audio gear and the factory centre gauges. made my own parcel shelf to cover all the holes left by speakers

fitted up igniton kill switch and other switches which still need to be hooked up

also fitted four gauges to the centre console

cage fab

cage paint

carbon centre pannel

gauges fitted

    • Hey keep the ideas coming, I'm always keen on projects! But, problem fixed!  I got a cheapie ozito scope from Bunnings and had a good look in and around the bearing and sensor hole. I couldn't see a smoking gun but the bearing looked a bit strange, especially when comparing with a new one. I thought the cover had come off the bearing magnets.  Sorry for pics of a screen, I didn't have an SD card.     Good thing I had the old one to inspect. So, given I'm like a pit crew with wheel bearings and luckily I had a spare bearing because I f**ked up my parts order, I decided to just smash it out. Got the old one out in about an hour. So much easier when the parts haven't had a chance to rust together yet. 😂 And, well, found the problem.    In the second pic at about the 8 o'clock position, you'll see what I think is the tip of the old sensor.  The new sensor has definitely been rubbing but it's all intact, just a little shiny so I'm hoping it's fine.  The car brakes perfectly now and no errors.  I think the job took about 2.5h in the end. 👍🏻 I really appreciate the help in here as usual. Thanks guys.
    • I was only looking because I saw some drops on the ground but it wasn't alot. Recently had it serviced will ask the mech to confirm. Find it strange that it looks standard though, can see in another photo of a random box
    • So...not sure if you know if that has always been there or why you went looking. It could be old damage from a clutch explosion, or even just the gearbox got dropped somewhere along the line. Basically, you should seal it up to stop oil and dust getting into the bellhousing, but it doesn't matter too much and is not structural. I'd suggest something like a glob of JB Weld. BTW what gearbox oil are you running, I would guess the breather has been spewing it everywhere.
    • Hey Duncan thanks for your reply. Sorry mate I know the photos are shit.  Took another photo for reference. Seems the casing does have a hole in it looking on the net, fluid seeping out. Added a photo
    • Very hard to make out what you mean, is it the squarish hole with redline shockproof (probably) under it? Is that pic from on top of the engine with the firewall to the left of pic and engine to the right? Either way, spray the area liberally with degreaser and try again, maybe circle the part you are worried about
