I will post up pics tommorrow after uni. I also got a pod filter installed while I was at it - so now the car sounds mad, goes mad - everything is lookin perfect!!

Thanks goes out to Ray Evans & RE Customs - they finished installing everything by 7pm & they have done a fantastic job! Thanks heaps guys!!! :)

There you go - the pics are up. Couldnt get the speakers, cos its all concealed up :P

The only thing i have to do now, is to attach the box temporarily, so it does not move around in the boot....

ahhh looks nice dude..

i got my tweeters mounted in same spot.. I reckon it sounds better up there than down below.

Time for you to hide those wirings if you can.. Just incase if you happen to put something in the boot etc etc..

Congrats.. wish i had an amp n sub

Thanks bud....

Yeah I will be looking to hide the wirings and temporarily attach the sub case so that it doesnt move around - but overall very very happy with it. still havent read the manuals yet (sat morning will be for that), but I tried all sorts of music - and its just unbelievable - even a bit of Darude & sash really comes out well.....

The modifications shall continue! :O

Edit: actually, it would be great if anyone could suggest how i can temporarily attach the box....

Looks nice man.. I am yet to build my sub box but from what I've seen as long as it's not too top heavy and off balance then a few strips of good adhesive backed velcro works well (apparantly).

Good Luck

  • 4 weeks later...

looks like a top job, i just got myself a rockford 12" sub earlier today and a cadence amp, but what i want to know is how u mounted the amp on the back wall, as i looked at mine and it doesnt look strong enough

    • haha don't worry I'm sue you've got more fun ahead buying a 30 year old turbo car....but at least you are in the right place to ask
    • some days eh? The keyless entry and interior light on/off with the key will be controlled by the Body Control Module, but I'm not certain where that is or what it looks like (you might get lucky with a search to get a part#, which could be printed on it). I'd start at the A pillar/ Under dash/kick panel on the driver's side
    • It might be hit and miss, but Nissan Genuine Parts and Pitworks are not the same thing, although both are available from Nissan Dealers with Nissan Part Numbers. Nissan Genuine Parts are the OEM stuff, Pitworks are their attempt to get people back from generic parts makers
    • I did end up getting it sorted, as GTSBoy said, there was a corroded connection and wire that needed to be replaced. I ended up taking out the light assembly, giving everything a good clean and re-soldered the old joints, and it came out good.
    • Wow, thanks for your help guys 🙏. I really appreciate it. Thanks @Rezz, if i fail finding any new or used, full or partial set of original Stage carpets i will come back to you for sure 😉 Explenation is right there, i just missed it 🤦‍♂️. Thanks for pointing out. @soviet_merlin in the meantime, I received a reply from nengun, and i quote: "Thanks for your message and interest in Nengun. KG4900 is for the full set of floor mats, while KG4911 is only the Driver's Floor Mat. FR, RH means Front Right Hand Side. All the Full Set options are now discontinued. However, the Driver's Floor Mat options are still available according to the latest information available to us. We do not know what the differences would be, but if you only want the one mat, we can certainly see what we can find out for you". Interesting. It seems they still have some "new old stock" that Duncan mentioned 🤔. I wonder if they can provide any photos......And i also just realized that amayama have G4900 sets. I'm tempted too.
