Hi all. Many moons ago,HPi mag' featured an R32 GT-R that was purported to have a 'quick response' ABS unit on it. I looked as hard as I could for differences in the pictures, but nothing seemed different to my system(same car,V Spec...). I emailed all the usual magazine tech' people, but no response(pun intended). I was thinking if these mythical brake bits do exist,it may be an N1 part or similar. Can anyone definately confirm these things exist? And if they do,part numbers, differences in appearance/distinguishing features, what parts are actually different etc....

Any help appreciated! J.

from what i know that is 99% most likely magazine rubbish. they were most likely calling the standard system 'quick repsonse abs'. the generally add a few supuralitves to things as well.

yeah all 32 ABS systems are the same, N1 had no ABS.

I guess they might have tried to fit a later model computer/abs motor since the 32 one is pretty slow and dumb (but good for its vintage). No idea if this is actually possible though

I've been wondering the same thing - about the motor, not the computer. when I stomp the brakes, the abs uses big, heavy pulses...

not too concerned about response time, but a better action (smaller pulses).

Perhaps I should do some research into how the R32 ABS works... I'm full of... Ideas. Some I even get to do.

I thought a faster motor would do wonders for how it feels & handles. Match up signals & voltages, machine it in, test it out... theory & practice...

    • Agreed, I've never seen a 260RS specific manual. As GTSBoy said it will mostly be stagea other than the engine loom https://www.hgeconsulting.com.au/stageaservicemanual.pdf
    • You'lll likely have to make do with R33 GTR for engine/tranny stuff, and Stagea for the body. I don't know that there's even been an actual diagram seen in the wild.
    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
