is it just me or has the TV2 GTR just above had it's bootlid resprayed??

Anywho, get the purple one!!! pure sex colour... not that fussed on the wheels, but you'd get a real good price for em so you could change to another set of 18" of your choice.

J-spec also allow $3.5k for compliance. Workshop i got my R34 GT-T complianced in sydney (with GTR approval as well) can do it for $1.3K cheaper than that, so it's a $64.7K midnight purple, V-Spec :)

the "shark gills" are V-Spec 2 front bumpers i think?? No, wait... i i think it's a Nismo front bumper?

Hi all,

I am seriously in the market for a mint R34 GTR. I currently am leaning towards buying one locally in Australia unless other owners suggest otherwise as it is alot of money that I would rather have something to show for asap rather then wait weeks/months etc.

Just need some advice on what to look for, recommendations etc?

I live in Darwin and previously had a R33 GTR and loved it but, now it is time to step u to the plate.

Yeah, Go the Vspec....looks meaner.....sounds better....more words to describe your ride when u say R34 VSPEC!

I've got a Gunmetal coloured VSpec.......Bayside Blue is cool and I've seen a few floating around.....but Gunmetal is the next blue....it's a little bit different.

That is not standard bumper.

I prefer this superb bayside blue 2000 GTR V spec on carsales, gotta love those 'shark gill' vents on the side! :D (btw how come only some GTRs have them?)

Bayside blue the best colour for a R34 GTR

I would question that Midnight purple GTR. I would not buy it until I had verified with FAST that it is not a respray from another colour. There were only 400 Midnight Purple Pearl III R34 GTR's made so to see one cheap is .... different.

Oh and 67,000kms on the Nismo speedo .... showing wear like that on the standard steering wheel... How many Km's has it really done? Noone knows...

V Spec 2 Front Bumpers are no different to the V Spec or Standard GTR's

The NISMO Front Bumper Bar however is a slightly different design

oh yeah, doesn't have the sharp edges of the Nismo... Tosh got it :(

yeah, just had a few vents added, i don't like how it's TV2 for the whole bumper though, including the lower lip

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
