Leaving on the 6th of October and coming home on the 16th. I was going to go to the Super GT Round at Autopolis on the 15th but it's too hard to get transport there from my grand mothers place.

Oh so going very soon!

DUDE!! you lucky bastardo. you will be in japan for the Japan F1 GP. You HAVE to go. it's on the 8/10.

I'm going to go to the final Super GT round at Fuji Speedway on 5/11. Should be awesome.

ooh. sunline should be sweet. I know nick is deeply in love with their wide body R34 GTR they had at this years TAS. They were quite friendly guys too. I spoke to a few of them for a little while. I LOOOVE their red R32 GTST. mmm it's what I have always thought I would do for a track GTST. SR22DET power. man it would be a sweet track beast.

from memory they are down kansai area? or even further south?

Can't do the F1, I'll be with my cousins in Nagoya that day.

Sunline are in Okayama which is perfect because that's where I get off the Shinkansen to get to my grandma's place. So a visit to Sunline before I get the train south will be nice  I really want to see their circuit spec S15 ;)

dude, you have to grab your cousin and get yourself to the F1. man, schueys last ever Japan F1 race, plus the championship is so close.

ok, now i know where they are, kind of southward. make sure you grab me some pics of their 32 GTST.

    • He has an aftermarket hanger, it just sounds like your setup is much better then his.  It doesn't sound crazy at all to me, to install an aftermarket hanger and end up backwards compared to the factory setup.  Have a look at the tiny sock/filter/pickup on his fuel pump, surely the factory item is much much longer and I bet, better positioned as well.
    • Why are people so insistent on making dirty water?!
    • Fark what are the changes of that snapping like that, clean. Nek minnit, custom radiator goes in, with built in oil cooler like those discontinued PWR ones from yesterdeacades ago
    • I thought I'd do a write up on an auto transmission fluid change for a the nissan 7 speed Automatic. At some stage the genius engineers decided that the fluid in the trans was "for the life of the transmission", (which seems kind of self supporting to me) and removed the dip stick and fill tube (funnily enough there is still a casting for it). Anyway, for this job you do need 2 specialist tools in addition to regular hand tools, jack and good chassis stands. You need a way to pump fluid up to the transmission; I got one of these but there are plenty of other options: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/364584087070 Don't trust the generic listing though, it does not come with the required adapter for the Nissan 7 Speed. You need one of these, can't do the job without it: https://navarapart.com.au/product/genuine-nissan-patrol-y62-d23-np300-navara-re7-dipstick-fill-connector1 You need a heap of compatible transmission oil. Could be Nissan, could be anything else rated for Nissan Matic S. You need at least 10 litres, I had 15 to give it a better flush... Also, you need some biiig oil catch trays, at least one of these, or bigger if possible (volume was fine, size was very marginal): https://autobarn.com.au/ab/Autobarn-Category/Tools-%26-Garage/Specialty-Tools/Oil-Service/Garage-Tough-Oil-Drain-Pan-Black-16L---GT1068/p/TO03191 Finally, a measuring jug is very useful if your pump does not have volumes marked on it, I got a 6l one: https://www.repco.com.au/oils-fluids/fluid-accessories/measuring-jugs/penrite-measuring-jug-6l-pmj006/p/A5322648 Oh, and gloves.....this stuff is horrible (not as bad as diff oil, but getting there) ....First, jack up your car.....
