I'd just like to thank QLD police patrol car.. number plate 631-XXX down Reedy Creek Road at about 11pm tonight, travelling a good 30km/hr over the speed limit (60&70km zone) for about at least 10 minutes with their police lights clearly off and just having a hoon because they can..

Well done you hypocrite.. I'm sure if I would have been travelling even 20km/hr over the limit I would have copped a nice fine and ego blast, but of course being a police officer with all your many years of training and experience, it's all ok and perfectly safe..

I wish I had a job in which I could be a two faced moron... in fact maybe I should apply to be a %#$!head.. apparently they're open for applications

making a complaint wont do anything. I had a guy do a hit and run on my car, the police knew who he was the crash incident report recommended a charge be laid and 2 months later of me asking they still hadn't charged him. The lady officer i reported it to accused me of being on drugs and tryed to convince my parents i wasnt completely innocent even tho i was stationary at the lights. She was sympathetic to my situation until i told her i owned a skyline, from there it was all down hill. They arn't above the law but really what can you do. There not going to take a complaint seriously against one of there own.

They are above nothing. They are nothing more then public servants. Make a complaint, it’ll be funny wasting their time even if nothing comes of it.

I'd rather not publicize my personal experiences but lets just say its well worth your time and effort, the system does work if you know how to use it.

u should have chased him and told him to pull over...then proceed to ask him to pop his bonnet....then try n defect him for all the damn interior gadgetry, laptops, screens etc...

PMSL!!!!

yeah i agree! i was driving behind one once and he didn't use his indicators once (and then proceeded to drive through a roudabout using both lanes)! I felt like doing a citizens arrest! lol

cos yeah - im sure if it was the other way around he would have pulled me over!

Two $luts (cops) pulled me over sunday night - would have been cos I dont have my front number plate yet (waiting for my slim-line one) and I was being polite as always (I know its better not to argue) and they were so rude... I was lost at the time and asked them if they happen to know where a certain street was and all they asnswered with was "DONT YOU HAVE A UBD"

couldn't believe it!

i do feel sorry for them though - some of the scum they have to deal with - but still - were just normal people ffs!

He was sitting in the righthand lane doing like 102kph and was in an un-marked nissan patrol... he plainly refused to move over and just kept hogging the right lane (slowly overtaking whatever) si I flicked my lights at him and gave him the "please move your slow arse back into the other lane" signal and that is when he finally moved over and then flashed his lights at me......the red and blue ones.......

he pretty much got otta the car and had me by the throat before i could even fishish getting my harness off.......

pretty scary... I thought that he was gunna kill me......

I don't abuse white patrols as a general rule now

WOW... a friend of mine was driving from brisbane to the gold coast. he was in the right lane speeding.. cop came up behind him and put the lights on but cos there was so much traffic my friend had to start merging towards the left to pull over and then the cop did him for not pulling over quick enough! lol

Think the term was "refusing to pull over or something" - having said that I wasn't there so _maybe_ dont know the whole story.

Cops in the Redlands seem ok... the only catch is there are hundreds of millions of them!!

Saw a cop racing to beat a red light last night in aspley area. didnt make it, instead, he didnt stop and ended up running the red light.

i had the window down, gave him a clap and straight away, he braked and countinued on driving knowing he was caught and seen by someone in public for doin something wrong.

cops like this deserve the book thrown at them IN COURT just like they throw us through the courts and waste the judges time.

Yeah I moved north to avoid the cops and speed camera and stuff like that

You dont see too many cops up here, just usually the 4WD parked at the side of the road with the camera set up inside.....usually on a nice straight road with a liitle downhill bit right before the camera......

gotta love em

Just shows how useless and gutless the police are these days

just saw a news report tonight on the news

about a retired policeman, that got bashed by "apperantly" a gang, drinkin piss on one of the main streets in melbourne, which was across the road from the police station

the retired policeman, made 89 calls to the police, regarding the bashing and it was only 2 months later another detective got on to the case and took it to court, Only to find it was too late as it was to long ago.

One guy got 6 months jail, and not sure what the other guy got .

Just shows if they cant protect there own people

Means they cant protect shit.

All they are is farkin hassles to the good ppl of the community, and making it easier for the gangs and theives

I wonder how they get the job in the first place

I generally hate the police, but you have to keep in mind that most of us only ever have problems with traffic cops and traffic task force cops. Not all cops are bad....just the traffic mob.

After I do an engine build I usually like to drive around the local streets with the bonnet off the car. I just ring the local station and let them know what I'm doing and where I'll be and they never hassle me. Sometimes it just takes a bit of give and take for a mutual understanding to take place....other times you just need to deck them.

I really never have issues with the police, yes there are a few dickheads out there but that applies to any job.. I got RBT the other night, there was no attitude and i was quickly on my way again. My flatmate is also a newly graduated police officer and some of the crap she has to put up with you wouldn't believe. She also says there are situations where they are allowed to speed without using their lights/ sirens.

Yes i have been defected, yes i have been caught speeding, but realistically these times i was breaking the law.

I dont think police do a bad job at all, in the end there is very little grey area with the law, youre either within it or not, they are just doing their job, under the directives of politicians and the council that want certain social groups to be targeted and revinue to be raised, they do this by gearing the laws the police have to enforce in such a way, not to mention spoon feeding them only a fraction of the funds they need to properly enforce the law. eg: there aren't many (if any) local police call centres anymore they are all out of state, most local stations aren't staffed properly (again, if at all) after hours etc...

    • Please use a modern ECU. PowerFC with the Nintendo Gameboy controller is horrible. It's not 2005 anymore.
    • The car/ECU will have all the sensor that it needs and expect to have. I think i do not have to explain to you how the Link is way better specialy if you have swapped engine   I just do not want to deal with any "problems" cuz i have only Nistune which i learned is not that great and in my case cant even deal with that speed problem (Link can) And of course it will be way more easier to tune and diagnose and safe. And for the ECU/speed problem...i dont know.
    • Per Mark Roberts of Sonictune: Mark Robert Author At this time, no. No ETA either 2016-17 models. You will be able to purchase and install a 2018.5+ TCU though   TCU purchasing and pricing info! As we near the release of TCU tuning, I am going to answer some questions I get asked often.   What do I need for TCU tuning? At this time, you will need a 2018.5+ TCU to be able to tune. If you have a 2016-to early 2018, you will need to replace your TCU with the newer version. One good way to know if your TCU is good is if you have auto upshift in manual mode in 1st gear around 6500 rpms. If your manual 1st gear goes to 7k rpm and will hit the rev limiter unless you shift, you have the older TCU.   Why do I need to buy another ecu license/phone flash if I already have it on my ECU tune? The TCU is its own computer module. It is completely separate from the ECU. Because of this, you will be required to purchase a TCU license and, if your tuner has it, the phone flash license required to tune it via phone/bluetooth.   Do I need TCU tuning? TCU tuning is NOT required. However, the faster your setup, the more it will assist in track and dragy time consistency.   If I’m ECU tuned by (tuner A) can I get my TCU tuned by (Tuner ? Yes, since it’s a different module and a completely separate flash, you can have two different tuners. However, it is highly recommend that you have both tuned by the same tuner. For me, my TCU tuning will directly complement my ECU tuning style and features and running my ECU and another TCU or vice versa MIGHT cause some issues. At this time and for the foreseeable future, I will only be tuning my current ECU tuned customers TCUs.     I have a SYVECS AWD controller. Do I still need it? Yes! The AWD controllers main job is to control your AWD system. However, with TCU tuning, you will no longer need the auto-shift function as that will be done through the TCU. The AWD controller will still be very beneficial for racers looking to maximize traction on the launch.     Shift schedule changes: holding gears longer at lower pedal input as well as max shift rpm changes. Please note, the new ECU race rom coming out will address 90% of the shitty drivability issues these cars have through custom maps from myself and Racebox—as well as others I am sure.   Increase shift speeds: as seen in the videos I’ve been posting, the TCU shifts much faster once tuned.   Increased shift pressures: as also seen in the videos, much firmer full throttle shifts.

    • The fancy pants red shock tower brace is finally incoming from MX5 Mania, getting it shipped from 'Merica has been a long and problematic process, and GWR, the 'Merican supplier will not ship directly to consumers outside of the US, Mania basically had to order a heap of them, the colour choice was silver, or red, and we all know anything red adds 5 killerwasps of dynotorques..... Whilst it does fit over a 2.5, and I've seen a few photos and videos of it being installed and fitting, google also says it might get real close to the FAB9 intake front runner, people in the US says it does fit with the FAB9 intake, except for one person who said it slightly touched.......so there is that.....LOL..... As it seems that I am the first in AU to have this combination of parts there's no local knowledge about fitment, so I'm just a willing guinea pig in this endeavour, I'll cross my fingers and toes and hope for the best In other news, I ordered stuff from China  on the same day I ordered the 23° silicone bend from Victoria, the stuff from China arrived a day ago, the 23° silicone bend is still travelling around Australia thanks to Australia Post, and "may" be here next week
