Hiya all,

I've just taken these mags off my car and i was told they were genuine nismo LMGT4's (17x9) but regardless of this the wheels didn't fit my GTR (spacers, apparently they're a 30 offset, suited for gsts and silvias), i've had them replaced and now im just trying to identify them. Does anyone have LMGT4s, that can tell me what to look for? cant see any nismo badging, they've got the nismo decal ofcourse, but nothing to suggest the brand by any casting information on the mags.

thanks in advance.

Mate I have LMGT4's on my GTT. (F 17 x8.5 x 35, R 17 x 9.5 x 38) They do not have any Nismo stamp on them other than the face decal. They should have a Rays sticker on the inside telling you size and offset. It is the spoke pattern that makes them Nismo LMGT4's nothing else. They should be able to be lifted with the little finger (wheel only) as they are forged monobloc construction hence the lightness. Rays make them for Nismo.

From my Nismo catalogue they should weigh about 7.7 kg bare so 11 with rubber is about right. Also details on size and offset can be had from the Nismo site. Scroll down until you get to section 4. It is in Japanese but sizes are in English. Fairly easy to interpret.

But to give you some idea, the R34 GTR requires an offset of 12 if the wheel is a 17 x 9.5. The wheels you have would suit an R33 GTST and maybe some others.

Cheers and hope that helps

Here ya go mate, just match them up with these

awsome, thanks mate,

unfortunately they're not genuine they havent got the "made in japan" and the decal seems a bit smaller on these, and they were also missing the rays brand, which got me suspicious in the first place. The mags i just got put on are drifteks and they seem to have the same badging, seems these ones are just drifteks + nismo sticker. Im planning on selling them, just wanted to confirm authenticity.

cheers guys!

hey guys, they will be nowhere near 11 with tyres. tyres weigh a lot more than 4-5 kgs more like double that, i weighed a lm-gt4 17 by 7.5 with tyre and it was 16.5kg. your being 9inch wide should be a couple of kg more than that.

attached is a pic of bronze gt4

Gotta admit I was only guessing on the rubber content. Apologies all round if I have misled anyone.

cheers

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
