my standard HID Xenons got taken out during complience (IM SO FREAKN PISSED) and im left with some shockn lights now. been meaning to get the cosmo blue or something else but i realli want to know something before that happens.

if they took out my HID Xenons....does that mean i cant put xenon globes in anymore? if thats the case i need a conversion huh?

EDIT:: just checked wat type of globes my car needs....normally the R34 GTTs use H1s correct? and H4s for the parking lights? i just noticed some losers changed my lights to H3s......wth and why would they do dat? i think complience may of did this.

can someone tell me the diff between a H1 and a H3....infact wats the diff between em all?

Blue light is dimmer than white light in the light spectrum

Blue light makes you drowsy at night

Blue light is shithouse in the rain and in any sort of fog

But if you want to be like all the other ricers with "super white" or blue headlights, go ahead. :sorcerer:

4300K HID's are probably as white and therefore as bright as you can get.

personally i want red....but i havnt seen any.....infact i realli dont like blue or white cuz dats all u see on the roads.....even though its the most logical....i want something diff...i rkn it suit the r34 rear lights aswell...so it all flows good

Mtec is blue light, thats all. Infact yellow light is much brighter. also my mtec head lights blew up after 2 or so months. i went back to stock yellow ones.

for next headlamps bulbs ill be getting Narvia 50 +, they emit long range light.

that sucks man......most of my mates have the M tec blues havnt had problems for nearli a year.

Andru, I don't know whether you'll listen to me or not, as in the past, you haven't seemed to listen to others, but i'll just give you a few quick points.

Blue/white bulbs are not brighter. they are just rice. they are white because of the blue filter. Essentially, they filter out yellow light and only let through the whiter light. the majority of light from a halogen bulb is yellow.

Plus 50 globes are the best bulbs you can buy. at the 50-70 m, they have about twice the light output. They add xenon gas into the atmosphere of the halogen bulb making it burn hotter and therefore brighter. As a side beenfit, they are also whiter (brighter is whiter - imagine a 25 watt light globe at home, very yellow and dull, compared to a 100 watt globe - bright and white).

hid aftermarket kits are f**king shit. Shit cut off, shit light. Expect to glare others and be defected. That is, not really brighter. shines light in all the wrong ways.

Original xenons for r34 are cheap. i've seen them go for 500-800$.

So either do plus 50 globes + relay mod for max light output using halogen globes.

or get original xenons, biut don't do aftermarket kit.

If you're just in it for looks - those white bulbs are ok if you just want looks. they're just not as bright. if you get one with an overpowered filament with xenon gas and blue filter, it might just be about as bright as a standard yellow halogen globe - not bad.

The reflectors in your headlight housing are what determines the "range" of the headlight, not the bulb

Dark, read what Sir d said carefully. He is correct.

Keep in mind, that a headlight is a very precise instrument. A mm movement here or there completely changes optics. Especially over a range of say 50-100 m when the reflector is only about 10x10 cm.

Now, essentially, what the plus 50 bulbs do is this I said it above, but i'll clarify it more:

They contain xenon gas in the atmospher of the bulb, which makes the halogen cycle occur more efficiently. Therefore, they can overpower the filaments to make them burn hotter and therefore, brighter without them burning out.

It has been tested many times. I have conducted tests myself as part of my and my father's work. In the 50-70 m range, light output is about 50% more.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
