Got home to find these on the kitchen table :) They are monsters, bigger than my 6pot AP's on 370mm Rotors. The brembo's are only 4 Pot for 330mm Rotors. Must say these Nascar brakes are gonna suit the 180SX perfectly. They just fit behind my Work S1R's which Is a bonus.

Mackay people! Know that it's a bit of a drive but the dinner and chats are back!

Continuing on from last years very popular dinner and chats, thought that we could kick off this year with dinner and a movie.

Considering that South Bank is cheap on cinema tickets and because they have decent food thought that that would be a good place to go.

Who: People who are interested in Skylines and cars as well as their significant others.

What: Catch Up for dinner and a movie.

Where: Grilled and then South Bank Cineplex

When: Dinner at 7 and then movie around 9:30pm, Friday 11 January, 2013

Why: Because its the first week back at work for a lot of people and we all could do with a break. It's also been a while since we've caught up, so why not!

How: Well, you drive to the car park and park your car, then walk to the restaurant. . alternatively, I'll be heading there straight after work so if anyone wants to catch up prior, we could always do that.

The movie that were planning on seeing is Hitchcock. They haven't released times as yet but they said that there should be a session around 9ish.

So, who's in?

So, who's in?

$400 fuel bill, but the movie tickets are cheap :P

I want to take my car to Brisbane one of these days, but will probably do it when there is a proper event on (And not sure when I will get the energy to drive it up there) Track day at Willobank etc would be the go. Maybe there will be a few others from here keen as well, if they ever have cars again......

Appreciate the invite though, shame we are so far away up here in our dark corner of the world :P

There are discussions about a few of us coming up your way. Pm some events that you guys would be interested in coming down for and well see what we can organise.

Also, if its a $400 fuel then you'd want to save as much on the movie ticket as possible right?

Rough estimate on fuel, and yes movie savings would help :)

Events here....... drags, drives or drifts is about the extent of what can be done here

Let me finish my car first and then I'll drive down with you, Callan...

I'm letting you finish it....... are you letting yourself finish it but? :P

I've found some motivation today and put my pistons and rods together, just hanging out for a second person to put the c-clips in. Damn they are little bitches to get in

Why Build an engine when you can take photos of the parts instead :)

Might get keen tomorrow and clean the block and get it ready for pistons and painting.

Yeah drags and the ocassional drift in proserpine is about all you can do in this town.

I'd be up for the drive, won't be for at least 6 months though as i've got time off in March and will be flying down.

Fark that i wouldn't rack up 2000km's to going to a meet, stone chips, tire wear, fuel, will be nearly due for service and spark plugs by the time you get home, trying not to get a speeding ticket. Lucky i don't own my GTR anymore i would be broke lol.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
    • Also wanted to say, my new spark plugs are blackened looks like it's very rich. I have splitfire coilpacks but stock coilpack loom and ignitor. I tried directly grounding the ignitor ground to body as well.
