Hi Guys

Yep, I think it would be a great idea if the library did that, but it might be pretty hard to convince them! There has been lots of interest above in a r33 set, but unfortunately I need a R34 one – which is must more expensive as well - and I’ve only had two people email me so far.

So if you are interested in an R34 workshop manual, send me a message, and would someone else like to step forward to coordinate a R33 one?

Remember, it is NOT illegal for us to buy a copy and share it!

500 pages would take about a day to photocopy on a fully automoatic photocopier not to mention that you'd probably have to tear up the book page by page to properly scan it.

Took 2-3 hours just to copy about 200 pages, and had to be done at night so we weren't busted for copying private infoformation etc.

Your always hoping no one comes in and asks what your doing for that time, and using up 500+ sheets of paper would cost $100 to $200, so no boss would sit there and say it's ok with them.

No one would pay $500+ then scan it for you, then PDF it and then give it to you for free.

Why not just save up the cash and buy it's it wouldn't take long to buy a copy.

The one problem I see with a group buy is that somemone will always some how lose it and you'll never see it again and they probably stop turning up much or never at all again and some how be pretty hard to get in contact with.

Has any 1 stepped out for doing this for an r33 version?? If not i will buy one in a few weeks with my own cash. If there is genuine interest lets do a group buy and then some1 will have to scan it then send it around, not hard i can do it at uni. just by reading the posts "i've got 20 bux" or ppl that replied similar we have some interest. I may end up just buying it then scanning it then selling it 2nd hand. we'll c. Zagan has a point with the losing thing but if its in digital then the rule should be the person who loses it gets the digital copy printed in colour and bound again or something like that to protect the others in the deal.

I just bought the full R32 and R33 workshop manuals in japanese (all the volumes).

Here's a list of the contents:

R32:

* Service Manual May, 1989

* 1 August, 1989 Supplement

* 2 August, 1991 Supplement

* Wiring Diagram Manual, May, 1989 and 1 August, 1989 and 2 August, 1991 Supplements

* Manual transmission Service manual: R4W71C, RS5W71C, FS5W71C, FS5R30A

* Gearbox Service Manual: F160CFC TODEFU R200, R200V R230V

* RB Engine Service manual and supplements RB20E, ET, DE, DET

* New model introduction for workshops (weekly service report) August, 1989. Introduction to RB26DETT R32 4WD vehicles.

* Supplementary Introductions to R32 revisions and changed parts August, 1991

* Supplementary GT-R specification change, and brembo disk brakes, February, 1993

Also covers:

Engine

Standard Equipment

Body

Interior

Seat belt system

Heater & air-conditioner

R33:

* Service Manual for the first edition in August, 1993 + Supplementary Edition February, 1997.

* Five new model introductions for workshops (the first edition, and 4 supplements)

* Seven volumes of a Service Manual (Covers ALL aspects of the car, and also comes with 4 Supplements for various revisions)

* Covers all the individual systems as in the R32 collction

Picked it up for $100 each from japan. However it might be a while before I translate all that. Anyone is more than welcome to borrow it.

copies? umaaarrr... they're over likke 1000 pages in total, I'm not gonna be fotocopyin em lol. You can borrow em if you want and DIY :D

Yeah its relatively easy to understand with the diagrams... like for example to unmount the engine it has an arrow around each screw and says "pull here" :confused:

Err...scanning 500 pages and compressing to pdf...would take a while

Probably' date='but not impossible

I Have Been There & Done That

I Have it in pdf form also

Gunjack[/quote']

Is There a chance you can pass it onto us, i bought one ages ago and when my car got broken into they took it

    • Stock ECU (or more accurately stock tune) absolutely refuses to go over 10psi and behaves like you have seen. The Nistune is the same if it is the stock tune. If the Nistune chip has been tuned, the resulting tune could be literally anything for any combination of parts. The Nistune just makes the stock ECU Tunable.
    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
    • So now we have a radiator with no attachments whatsoever. It lifts up with a particularly tight spot between the drivers side air box mount and the lower radiator outlet, but if you've got this far you will sort that too. This is the lower mounts with the rad out so you can see where the rubber bushes go, it is a straight shot upwards Done! Assembly is the reverse of disassembly, with blood less likely to be shed.
    • Right, onto the second last trick. The Air Con condenser is mounted to the front of the radiator and stays in the car when the radiator is removed. There are 2x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the condenser to the radiator, remove those The bottom of the condenser is attached to the radiator with clips. You need to lift the condenser out of those clips and clear (up, then forward). f**ked if  could work out how to do that last bit with the front bumper on. I hope you can, and you share the trick.  Bumper removal probably deserves its own thread one day once I've recovered the will to live, but basically you need to remove the wheels, front inner guard liners (clips and 10mm headed bolts), the self tapper between the guard and the bumper at the rearmost point of the bumper (same as an R32 that bit), any remaining clips at the top/front of the grill, an absolute bastard design with a plate that holds the top of the bumper above the headlight each side (only 1 bolt which is tricky to get to, but the plate catches 2 places on the bumper and must be removed....carefully!) and push clips between the bumper and guard under the headlight. If you've done all that you will be faced with wiring for the fog lights on both sides and in ADM Q50 RS at least, 4 nasty tight plugs on the driver's side for the ADAS stuff. So, the clips at the bottom look like this on drivers side (looking from the front) And on the passenger side (also from the front), you can see this one is already out Clearance on both of these are super tight; the condenser needs to move up but the upper rad support mount prevents that, and the radiator can't move down far because it is (rubber) mounted. Once you achieve the impossible and drop the condenser off those mounts so it does not stop the rad moving, you are good to go
    • OK, next the shroud needs to come off and there are a couple of tricks. Firstly, there is a loom from near the passenger side headlight to the fans, coolant temp sensor etc and there is no plug to undo.  In my case I was OK to leave the shroud on top of the engine so I just undid the passenger side fan plug and about 10 of the clips which gave enough free wire to put it aside. The fan plugs were super tight, the trick I used was a small falt screwdriver to push down on the release tab, then a larger flat screwdriver to lever the plug out of the fan unit....be careful with how much force you apply! If you need to remove the shroud altogether for some reason you will have to deal with all the plugs (tight) and clips (brittle)....good luck. I removed all of the clips and replaced them with cable ties that I will just cut next time. Also, in the Red Sport / 400R at least, the intake heat exchanger reservoir hose is bolted to the shroud in 2 places with 10mm headed bolts; so remove them (the hose stays in the car; no need to undo it at the t fittings down at the radiator lower mount. Once you've dealt with the HX hose and the wiring loom, there are 3x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the shroud to the radiator; remove those.   The shroud then lifts out of the bottom mounts where it sits on the radiator, up and onto the engine out of the way. Simples
