I was there last night.

Started queuing at 1315 and got into the Elipse area and by the time the concert started, I was 5 deep from the stage. At 1 point, I Bono was so close, he touched the hand of a girl 2 across from me.

Words can't describe how good this concert was. I've been to ZooTV, PopMart and now Vertigo and I can't seperate the 3 from an experience point of view as I've been in prime viewing points at all 3..

All the favourite songs were played and of course as expected Bono took the opportunity to speak his mind about some political issues focussing on making poverty history and ecouraging everyone to look at www.makepovertyhistory.com.au

It's amazing how 1 person can control 60,000+ people with so much ease. He asked people to pull out their phones and light up Telstra Dome like a Xmas tree which everyone did and then he asked them all to SMS their name to 191221 to support the Make Poverty History charity.

The 4 hour wait outside was definately worth the wait and another event I'll never forget.

MPH isn't a charity :O

went sunday night. Not in the "inner sanctum" but over on 'The Edge' side (where else to be)

I've been going to a lot of gigs lately, and ranging from Lior at the spiegletent, Mayer at Palais, to U2 at Telstra Dome. But this was just un-f*cking-believable! The set was outstanding, the light/display wall, was incredible.

Set-list was great, wish i knew the complete words to some of the 2nd encore songs. I'm a fan of U2, but not a massive one, and i went just because it's 'U2' and i doubt i'd get a chance to see a band that's been so influential, again.

Don't know why Coldplay was getting the gong for the world biggest band, i'm sorry coldpay fans, but they don't have anything on U2 at the moment, and not with shows like they put on at the Telstra Dome.

will remember that concert forever.

    • Hi. Hoping someone can maybe tell me if the same R34 cable works on R33 coup? Or tell me how I can fix mine. It broke the same way 1" away from the eye. Blessing
    • Robertson was a Canadian inventor, and it absolutely reigns supreme here. 95% of our screws are Roberston. It's literally the only option you can buy off store shelves. What would it have lost out too? I believe it's also very popular in the US.  My reference to imperial was pointed to both NPT and BSP.
    • No. BSP lost to the cultural/technical imperialism of living next to Trumpistan. Face it, Robertson screws were better and still pretty much lost out to the yank stuff. The Europeans hate the Brits and they don't use NPT. NPT is just as "imperial" as BSP is, being based on those useless inch thingos. Just done differently.
    • I live in Quebec. Our license plate slogan is "Je me souviens" Translated is "We will remember" as a reminder to when England conquered us and that we must never forget what they did. Long story short, BSP is unheard of here due to being an English design. I'm surprised our nazi anti english government office the OQLF hasn't kicked in my door yet just talking about it, yet alone imperial anything.
