there's a tool you install on firefox that allows you to download videos off pages when a download isnt available directly...you click on the button on the toolbar and it opens a window with a download link if there is a video on the page

Only downside is, it downloads in some stupid format, and needs to be converted with another program that you need to download

I find it easier just to contact the poster and get a copy, youtube compress things and make them too small..

eg you shreading the rubber my local copy you can se the bits flying off your tyres..but not on youtube
