saw the RH9 GTR on satuday

didnt see the dyno figure.....everyone was crowding around

the exhaust on that car is soo loud....like deafening

The RH9 got 980ish horsepower I saw the dyno printout missed the run wasnt happy :) but got to see Belsgarage GTR run atleast and that was loud as "oh Yeah"!!!!! :bunny::bunny:

The english guys were like this all day :O:):O;):O they dont get a show like this over there or cars that have that much power lol

what did the Z-tune make on the dyno?

there is one main difference in thinking that has kept me away from SAS, and going to TAS each year.

in australia people build cars and engines for the sole purpose of entering car shows.

in japan people build cars for various purposes (drift, drag, time attack, street racing etc) and then put the best of those cars in car shows. none of the cars (or very few) are built just to be 'show cars'.

    • Should be close enough. Noting that 88Nm is equivalent to 2-3 ugga duggas or one Oof. You have to use Oof on tie rods because you can't get an ugga dugga on there.
    • Cant find a torque spec in the R32 gtr manual  But there is one in the silvia manual Not sure if it's the same
    • And make sure the belts are tightened appropriately too.
    • They care about emissions, and cost the most. Save weight where possible, and make manufacturing easier. Less material also let's the engine transfer heat to water quicker, and bring the engine up to temp quicker, better for emissions and getting them past their warranty period.
    • I was under the impression the reason why OEMs are going with solutions like relatively thin "right-sized" cylinder walls with technologies like PTWA and open deck is because they care a lot about whatever marginal knock margin benefits they get from that vs the structural rigidity benefits of a closed deck block and thicker cylinder walls. I also see some weird stuff like plastic inserts in the water jacket around the cylinders to try and equalize cylinder wall temperatures. re: the PRP blocks and heads at the end of the day it's hard to know what is and isn't going to work there, just have to see what the initial buyers say about it.
