i got the same noise coming from the right rear when taking off. I took my rear wheels off and tightend the hub nut a little more. The noise went for a while but came back about a year later.

LOL...so noone has worked this out yet? I have had my car since 1999 and i cant work it out.

Im getting a new diff installed at the moment and quite frankly the noise is shitting me to tears after so many years.

I have had several ppl check it out and noone can work it out. Its not the handbrake shoes...and that was the most promising guess

If it happens all the time when ur in gear then its most likely ur diff,

If it happens when on/off throttle or during engage then it could be the CV joints.

PLZ EVERY1, check that ur wheel nuts are done up tight. I had the exact same symptoms 2 months ago and it was becoz of loose wheel nuts, so check this first!

8 years of ownership...my wheel nuts are not the problem. I have noticed that the rear tie rod ends are stuffed and will be changing them come payday...could be but doubt its them.

Will know in a few days whether it was the std diff

It's neither of those

Though on the upside, you can't hear the clicking over the mechanical diff.

I tend to think it's the cv's as it's about the only thing left on mine that hasn't been changed

if the clink u speak of is only when your on and off the throttle than is probly just backlash in the diff u can adjust this by moving the carrier but only so far u may need to buy new gears to fix the problem

I got the same problem... been there since I bought it a year ago.

Mine only does it when you reverse then go forward. Only comes from rear right wheel.

Same here, my GTT does the same thing. However it also does it every now and then from a stopped position and moving forward slowly.

Mine has been getting progessively easier to reproduce the sound. Its quite annoying, doesnt affect the car in any way, but when you know its there its annoys you.

Got a few places to check it out, one place thinks its either a shaft or diff issue.

Please if anyone solves this let us all know!

    • Hey Kaz, Unfortunately I am not at home currently and wont be for a few more months so I do not have access to my files or CAD. And at this point I prefer to keep the files to myself as I want to potentially make a few more pairs and see if they will sell within the EU before openly marketing them. But the way it's shaped and how small it is, I don't think you can fit both an indicator and a fog light onto the same surround, unless they were very small LED-type clusters.
    • I’ve just installed a Uniclutch sport into my R32. I’ve been blown away by it… it drives like a stock Toyota Corolla. It doesn’t make sense to me that a performance clutch can drive this well. I was about to pull the trigger on a Nismo Coppermix twin plate when I discovered the Uniclutch and decided to give that a shot instead. They’ve changed the game and I couldn’t be happier.    I was previously using an Extreme cushioned button clutch with lightened flywheel. I’m still using the same lightened flywheel with the Uniclutch.
