Hey Boost,

Dunno if it was yours or not but i was talking to my mate and he said that today at around lunchtime he saw a White R33, white rims, with a cracked front bar and a damaged fender driving on Alexander drive, just past Grand Prom, he said he was driving like an idiot.

I only told him about it today otherwise if it was your car he would have stoped him

Kris

If its a black and red advans rims then its mine then.....

However, today at about 1.25 pm on the way to pick up my fren, my GF swears she saw the now infamous white R33! It was on Risely st. on the way to Booragoon.....Couldn't turn around to follow it as we were at opposite traffic lights going it opposite direction.

The plot thickens...................

Thanks for lookin out ppl, all i can say is ram for your life, i know Joe would if he saw it...

Anyway time for me to start searching for a new skyline...its been stolen the same amount of time i had it on the road now. (1 month), also tonight (tuesday morning) is 1 month ago since it happened except this time im home and armed, damn what a sh1t month its been. Troy, insurance are being difficult, they were supposed to pay out last monday, but are obviously trying every trick in the book not to pay up, really poor after we pay all these insurance premiums :) ... getting vibes theyre implying we stole our own car *shakes head* f**kin idiots.

Well the dog c*** that stole my car has been caught by police, but the car has already been stripped... no need to look out for it on the road anymore, thanks to all that did though, time to start searching for a new car once insurance comes through, which should have been 2 weeks ago :D. The guy got his house raided by cops and they found a photo of him and his accomplice standing in front of the car, the stupid f**kers. Anyway i dont know much detail yet, (how they knew it was him, where or when it was found, what has been recovered, etc) waiting for a phone call. So be wary of cheap R33 GTS25t (RB25DET 5spd) parts on the market in Perth or interstate. Aftermarket parts include:

Kakimoto Racing full exhaust

KYB Buzz Spec damper adjustable shocks (purple)

Weds Sport white 16" rims

FET front strut tower brace

FET turbo timer

Skyline Spec 2 factory rear strut brace

APEXi Super intake air filter

APEXi Rev Speed Meter (not blue screen model)

cheers,

Chris.

Well good and bad news then Chris.

I spose in a way youd rather have a new car coz god knows what these d*ckheads did to it but what a major hassle. Hope they get the book thrown at them big time.

Also hahaha f*cking dumb pr*cks taking photos of themselves in with the car........ sounds like your typical car thieves intelligence..... IQ less than 33 im sure.

Has the insurance company coughed up yet or they still being w*ankers?

Ben

hey chris, well bad news that your car was striped but atleast the idi0t who stole it should be put behind bars :D

i got pulled over the other day, and guess what`` the guys that pulled me over wer the same cops that chased your 33 awhile back ... they wer telling me how they couldnt keep up with it under acceleration and asked me if the 33 was 4wd coz the car was sticking to the ground while their commo was all over the place haha`

+

he gave me the usual chek under the hood, breath test, and search for weapons [i dont kno if other ppl get that one, but i alwayz get it]

i get pulled over alot, compared to some of the people i know` i dont know why either ...

pretty much every weekend, unless im lucky enough not to pass by cops :D

i got pulled over yesterday at 7:40 in the morning, while driving to uni! :D and i got searched and fined for no 'p' up [but no breath test hehe]

JiMiH... P plater + R34 = cop bait :uh-huh:

Jase.. lol you're always gettin pulled over, at least you havent got a yellow sticker for exhaust and pod yet, if they wanted to they could.

update on my car: thief sold it to somebody who has stripped it, police dont know who that is yet.

    • I thought I'd do a write up on an auto transmission fluid change for a the nissan 7 speed Automatic. At some stage the genius engineers decided that the fluid in the trans was "for the life of the transmission", (which seems kind of self supporting to me) and removed the dip stick and fill tube (funnily enough there is still a casting for it). Anyway, for this job you do need 2 specialist tools in addition to regular hand tools, jack and good chassis stands. You need a way to pump fluid up to the transmission; I got one of these but there are plenty of other options: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/364584087070 Don't trust the generic listing though, it does not come with the required adapter for the Nissan 7 Speed. You need one of these, can't do the job without it: https://navarapart.com.au/product/genuine-nissan-patrol-y62-d23-np300-navara-re7-dipstick-fill-connector1 You need a heap of compatible transmission oil. Could be Nissan, could be anything else rated for Nissan Matic S. You need at least 10 litres, I had 15 to give it a better flush... Also, you need some biiig oil catch trays, at least one of these, or bigger if possible (volume was fine, size was very marginal): https://autobarn.com.au/ab/Autobarn-Category/Tools-%26-Garage/Specialty-Tools/Oil-Service/Garage-Tough-Oil-Drain-Pan-Black-16L---GT1068/p/TO03191 Finally, a measuring jug is very useful if your pump does not have volumes marked on it, I got a 6l one: https://www.repco.com.au/oils-fluids/fluid-accessories/measuring-jugs/penrite-measuring-jug-6l-pmj006/p/A5322648 Oh, and gloves.....this stuff is horrible (not as bad as diff oil, but getting there) ....First, jack up your car.....
    • So I mentioned the apprentice, @LachyK helped take the bonnet off. We just undid the nuts on the hinges and unclipped the gas struts, then pulled the bonnet back a little as the front was catching on the front bar.  I had a good look at everything today and have removed the rams, repaired/reset the hinges and bolted it back together like it never happened. I'll do a separate write up on the repair, and I also removed the poppers from the Fuga today too to save grief down the road.....as said above it is at least $5k to repair retail. I'm also happier about my ability to prepare a race car, and less happy about Nis-nault's engineering (I can hear @GTSBoy sAfrican Americaning) because the top hose of the radiator didn't slip off.......it snapped clean off. By practice I put the hose clamp hard up against the flare on a neck to make it least likely to ever move (thanks @Neil!). I guess that puts a little more pressure on the end of the pipe as it is further away from the rad, but still, that is pretty shit. I've put it back on for now as there was a fair bit of neck still there, but obviously there is no lip on the neck any more so I don't think I'll track it again until I have a new rad. Speaking of which....more research required. It looks like Koyo makes a standard size radiator in ally which I'll grab in the meantime, but I really want something thicker so might have to go custom in the medium term (ouch) Coolant still needs a refill and I have the pressure tester on it over night, but other than a wash down of the engine bay it seems alright. And @MBS206 noted something noisy on the front of the engine and I think I agree....time for a new accessory belt and tensioners I think.
    • our good friends at nismo make a diff for it, I have one (and a spare housing to put the centre in) on the way. https://www.nismo.co.jp/products/web_catalogue/lsd/mechanical_lsd_v37.html AMS also make a helical one, but I prefer mechanical for track use in 2wd (I do run a quaife in the front, but not rear of the R32)
