if he was feeling good enough to offer the parts and take money then he can do the decent thing and supply the parts or the money back within 2 working days.

anything else is disgraceful.

owes me a fuel cap, i ended up getting one somewhere else ages ago cos he didnt post it.

...report submitted

received...

I'll post up a link in the appropriate area and see if there's anything the Mods, Admins or Execs can do within our powers to chase this up...

Shame it has to come to this, why can't people be more honest!?!?!?

From what I saw of Rob last week, I am sure he is not being dishonest. He is in the shit up to his neck and the speedboats are due any moment.

As I've said elsewhere I went up to Morayfield and picked up the bits I wanted and paid Rob accordingly. Al you guys can do if you are owed is to PM him and sort it out.

Remember the shit with Funky and the Manuals? Then Bass with the deflector. Give Rob a bit of leeway and I'm sure he will come good.

i dunno guys i just sit back and watch but with the buisness with him coming to sydney to buy jays stagea then the massive cock and bull story on that issue and now all this i wouldnt trust him at all im sorry if i ofend anyone with this but i call a spade a spade and i would expet someone i deal with to honour their end of the agreement.just my 2 cents worth.

come on Hugh alot of people have giving the benefit of the doubt to him for along time and nuthin seems to change, i think its alot harder to rip people off in person then on the net and of course he is gonna seem genuine when u are face to face.

i dont even think he bothers coming on here anymore so contacting him through PM is a waste of time i'd imagine

rule one, dont trust anyone!!!

Anyone who takes peoples money and rips them off deserves to be in the shit up to his neck - probably deserves all he gets!

If you are buying parts from him then you are supporting this loser. Why not turn up and collect the parts that others have paid for - if he is such a good guy he will not mind handing them over.

Because he does not have the wreck anymore........

I have tried to contact him, for a long time at Hugh's request, but he doesnt seem to answer his mobile.

He was a really nice guy, but dont know what happened or what circumstance he is in, if he has taken money from people and not sent goods, then he should pay them back, simple.

he has been on msn recently, maybe try and speak to him through that...otherwise im the same, i call a spade a spade and if you take money and dont send the goods...your stealing in my book...

sorry i dont know him personally but if i sent him money and i didnt get the goods then i would be mighty p!ssed as well!!!

Probably a mechanical fault, the motor fell out after all... If he had have been in Jay's car (long story for those that don't know) I think he might have been going quicker and, well, this would be a very different thread.

Maybe people can post up what they paid for and how much they are out of pocket, might help to make a list for everyone involved, then we can send Rob an invoice that he can pay and not have to deal with anyone (or everyone) on here? Just a suggestion but all seems a little random at the moment.

Cheers

Luke

hey all

i'm 99% sure that my friend has this wrecked green s1 stagea in his yard, it was from brisbane, and from the pics, this has to be the one, so if anyone needs anything let me know and i can give you my friends details, still a fair bit of stuff left on it!

My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
