WHY DID FERRARI SIGN MASSA!??!?!?!!??!?!!

Massa is a hack, decent in the dry, but utter mud in wet conditions, and he is far too inconsistant...

Massa on pole is unstoppable. When he is in front he can just punch in lap after lap. But he doesn't have the true grit of a racer to claw himself back from adversity to win. And like you say in the wet he's not brilliant. He has impressed me this year, but really seemed to shine when the Schu was around which is another nail in his coffin unfortunately.

F1 looks set for a third consecutive Grand Prix that is affected by rain.

After the Fuji washout and the wet-dry Chinese Grand Prix two weeks ago, forecasters are now predicting a weekend of potentially changeable weather in Sao Paulo; scene of Sunday's 2007 title showdown at the Interlagos circuit.

Rain has been ever-present in the Brazilian city all week, but weekend forecasts predict that the weather should by Sunday be in the process of clearing up.

Williams' debutant racer Kazuki Nakajima, however, said in an official team preview on Monday: "It looks like it's going to rain over the weekend."

The British team's technical director Sam Michael added that the weather forecast "is currently predicting rain all weekend" for Brazil.

You little ripper... two things are now a certainty:

1. Quali is going to be all over the place with ppl trying to go light to gain better grid position so that spray isnt such an issue... not to mention a last gasp hurrah some teams *cough* honda *cough* will want to throw in before the year is up

2. Kimi can no longer count on Massa to act as his buffer, which will affect his title chances significantly

Go webber!

If it's coming down, I'd back Alonso for the win. Lewis will probably wilt under the pressure UNLESS he can eke out a pole AND get a great start.

If he can come frrom behind in the wet to win, it'll go a long way to silencing the critics (such as myself) who continue to claim that he's been the third best driver in the first best car all season.

I for one am happy to be proven wrong. If Lewis can fight his way up the grid in the wet on a track he's never driven on before, he'll deserve world champ status. If he wilts under the pressure and parks it or DNF's, well than he's still a very good driver, probably the best rookie season ever, but not THE best driver.

One things for sure, it's going to be damn exciting!

might get a crew and go to crown to watch it on the obscenely big screen.

nice to see the f1 is on at 2:45am on monday morning :) damn channel 10! im going to have to go the whole day without listen to the news or radio for that matter!

Thats only delayed by 1 hour, as the race starts at 2 am local time, what do you want them to do???? They usually have the race on a 2 hour dely as a minimum.

At least with woods and cromley, there was the certified expert and the dimwit but with those two, its both knobhead knowitall central...

why cant they bring Jones back into the fold. At least he KNOWS f1 and has won a championship..the rest can only pretend to know really...

I think your pubes would be rightfully offended by that remark.

Funny how the Channel 10's forums for each show just have general chit chat and the F1 forum everyone is saying YOU GUYS ARE F*CKED.

hey Marco, i guess you werent watchin F1 live!

Massa on pole but hes running hella light. No doubt to cover KR's ass...but... Lewie's in second!! stick that in your pipe you italian grid mafioso!

KR's in third and no doubt relishing an ass ramming from a hungry dirty sanchez who could only manage P4..

so... dirty sanchez, mate...how many tracks is it now where a ROOKIE... has outqualified you - in the SAME machine - in his FIRST SEASON at a track he has NEVER been on before during the CLIMAX of the 2007 season??? How can the fair play szar( or is that DIRTY SANCHEZ szar ) help your sorry filthy backside out of this one? Wow...you soiled your pants?? right well you would!

WEBBO!!! in 5th?? that a boy, show the scotsman how lucky he was last round to have out qualified you...

If mark can actually get a DECENT start off the line this time, he may well end up with a few points!

Yeah I was watching it...

Was on the seat of my pants...

Still, most of the truth shall be revealed both in the first set of corners, and at the first pit-stops..

Untill then, we can only speculate..

Speaking of Mafioso..

You hit me, we hit you... Biatch!

A.Jones, B.Woods & N.Crompton, F1 panel FTW!!!!

dear god yes, that would be excellent

keep it in context, Alonso is obviously heavier than lewis, much like kimi is MUCH heavier than Massa

I hope somebody gets around massa at the start or we could be in for a 'follow the leader' type first half of the race, im booking in Kimi for the win... which he so richly deserves

Lewis Hamilton faced fierce opposition at Interlagos on Saturday, but his rival was not one of the Formula One drivers but rather a French journalist who took the Briton to task in the official FIA post qualifying press conference.

L'Equipe writer Anne Giuntini was clearly unhappy with how Hamilton had let Kimi Raikkonen past in qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Wasting little time to put her point of view across on the eve of what could be Hamilton's maiden championship, Giuntini suggested that the British driver had not been fair in his dealings with the Ferrari driver.

"For everybody, it is evident that twice you disturbed Kimi. Is everything good to become a world champion?" she asked.

Hamilton responded: "To be honest there is no reason for me to do anything to Kimi because if anything he can win..."

"You never showed him clearly that you could give him the track free?" Giuntini continued, as the two locked in a heated exchange.

"What do you want me to do? Put the indicator on?" Hamilton replied.

"You know exactly..." She said.

"I did the best job I could to get out of the way," Hamilton insisted. "And I did apologise to him if I did get in his way."

"Is that what you call the best job?" Giuntini continued.

"Yes," Hamilton responded.

Giuntini: "As a sportsman?"

Hamilton: "Yes. How are you at your job? Are you the best at your job? You never made mistakes....no?"

Giuntini: "Sometimes..."

Hamilton: "Oh, really..."

Other journalists managed to stir the press conference on to other topics, until one made the mistake of mentioning Giuntini's run-in with Hamilton, labelling it a "ridiculous exchange". The Frenchwoman saw this as her cue to pick up where she earlier left off.

"Let us continue the ridiculous exchange," she turned to Hamilton. "Do you think you can do everything you want and then you just apologise - is that the way it works in Formula One?"

"I'm not going to answer that," Hamilton finally snapped. "I just don't want to talk to you, to be honest."

Giuntini, who is married to Renault's head of engine track operations Denis Chevrier, continued her battle later on in the paddock, having further verbal exchanges with McLaren boss Ron Dennis and Hamilton's father Anthony.

lol... fkn bishs

    • You’ll be very upset when you bust that too not to mention the gearing totally sucks. Don’t do it.
    • Is the panel filter one that is oiled? Have you ever cleaned or touched the AFM?
    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
