ok, usually when you get pulled over and fined for whatever, lets say for speeding you then recieve a notice in the mail regarding that fine. does anyone know exactly how many days it takes till you get the notice in the mail?

i know its a pretty stupid question but i really need to know and please don't ask why.

thank you

are you talking about the fine or the courtesy letter you will get a few weeks later? if you were pulled over wouldnt the kind police officer have given you the fine there and then?

the courtesy letter is exactly that. it tells you what happened, what you have to pay on the fine and how many points you lost etc. a basic facts letter

if u got an on the sopt u have the fine already. As stated above, courtesy letter will come some time after. Then it may take another 3 months for them to update ur points - from my experience.

If ur going to contest, wait for the courtesy letter. Dunno why, but thats what my barrister says.

then you drag it out as long as u can ;)

There are ways you can drag out fines for over 8 months quite easily, and legally. Well sort of :)

i can't see how i can drag it out that long as i got pulled over and fined (already have a due date) but i'll still give it a try :D

yeah i got the fine on the spot and already know when the fine is due etc but i wanted to know how long afterwards this "courtesy letter" arrives. i know the letter is pretty pointless now but i really needed to know.

so there's no exact time frame?

damn....

thanks

OK - curiosity got the better of me - Im gunna ask WHY (coz for the life of me, I cant work out why it matters)

if you have the fine and you have a due date for payment, etc - then why is it so urgent that you need to know when the curtosy letter is coming???

am I missing something?

lol i'd really rather not say...

i'm sorry :D

On Ya Bike!

Pedal power is the way of the future................................... and the unlicenced!

I have dragged out paying a fine for so long that i got back demerit points from an old fine and as a result when the fine was paid and the points added i ended up not losing my licence........... until i did it again!

That said, I have not been fined for anything other than a modded car for abour 8 years.

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
