yeah we had an average day.

Our gearbox broke in Mole Creek just before lunch, only have 3/4 and 5 left. We decided to retire since we have run out of "Request to Restart" forms.

Mark and Scott had a small off. Which in turn led to the car kinda tipping off the road and rolling 5 times down into the gully. They are both fine but the car is a little second hand.

Which I guess closes our Targa Adventure for this year.

Hay mate, i know it's a bit bad for me to say this, but i am glad somone oles had some bad luck. LOL.

Nah just kidding mate, looks like targa bit hard this year, we all managed to fall of the road. I will post pics of the hinter on monday when we gat it back from Bischino.

Better luck next year for all those who are attending.

Woooooooo 50 second lead over Richards.

He's out there doing it for all the privateers, proveing that a car build yourself and driving talent can beet all the professionals.

First time back since winning in 2004 and hopefully his return will reward him with another victory.

And yes looks like Sullens still holds a 54 sec gap to Richards, how is it possible that car can be so good?

I've seen stages of the build up at his house, and i could see how confident he was with this car, over any previous car he build himself. The car still has so much more potential from us as tuners perspective, running stand turbo and pretty sure exhaust. I'm not 100% but he was saying the car could be lighter but, had to keep it to a certain wait due to rules.

I think it all comes down to driver, the car is very good =) but after watching Tony in NSW ralley events his driving is really on a level above his competers, considering he's a "privateer" and raced his own cars as a hoby.

He give people out there the realisation that you don't have to be a "professionaly" driver with an expensive top of the range, newest car to win. He is... a true car enthusiest.

Good luck to him, hopefully he wins again, he deserves it.

BTW a joke we made up today...

whats Red and Black and Green all over?

an EB falcon with a green gtr parked on its roof in a dam.

So that's two down this year. But I think all the other skylines survived

Well I finally made it home after all the issues we had - Everyone is in one peice which is the main thing - Marks car is dead as a door nail.

Had lots of fun though

Those pics of marks car and the drop dont do it justice.

Hey Duncan - I missed that joke about the green skyline ahhahhaah

    • Bit difficult to follow. Have a look below and see what the standard R32 layout was like. Note there was a restrictor in place immediately before "turbocharged pressure control solenoid" that, if removed, magically got you 1 bar boost.
    • I might be way off the mark here.. there must be a T junction under the manifold. That takes manifold pressure through a check valve prior to the T, one side splits out to this bleed off orifice, the other straight to the wastegate actuators.
    • Carrying out some engine due diligence before my first drive in a 260RS that has been in storage for 10+ years, and found two lines that are susposed to be plumbed into the boost control solenoid. One of the lines (the wastegate boost supply line) to actuate the gates, had a bolt in one end blocking it. The other line (main boost signal line) from the very rear of the intake manifold (RB26DETT) and runs up to the boost controller had this pill in the end of it as seen in photos. Other than the obvious (T28 Ceramic turbos might well be cooked)  Can anyone shed any light on if there is any validity at all with this mod, bleeding a constant fixed rate of manifold boost pressure off through this 3mm hole?  Is it deliberate?  Was this a 90s Jap mod done to RB26's? Or has someone just fitted this without any idea of what happens to ceramic T28s if they are not gate controlled?
    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
