im not going to abuse the police jsut share my story. basically msot of you know what happened on princes highway with the drags and people breaking in to the video store etc.. well anyway the day after (saturday) i was at a birthday party for one of my friends. after the party i drove my friend hoem who lives jsut off princes highway (where all this stuff happened) on the way stopped by a booze bus took my breath test all sweet. left his house and was heading to see my gf. couldnt be botehred going on the freeway and the only otehr way is princes highway. so down i go. this guy in an xr8 ute is revving his car and launches from the lights and speeds away, i didnt race him as there was literally about 50 cops on the way up and back and drove normally.. max i boosted it to was about 2 psi (literally lol) then i get the flash behind me so i check my speed limit.. doing just over 75 in an 80 zone (had it on cruise) straight away i am told to turn the car off and get out of the vehicle. officer says to me "what the **** are you doing on this road mate? you know the shit that has happened" i told him my story and i was about to see my gf the copper then tells me "i dont give a **** i dont wanna see ***** like you on this road again" asked him what i did wrong and he didnt answer me popped my bonnet and was trying to canary me.. asking why i have the line blocked off for the hicas.. told him and he said there was never 4ws on a 300zx... i proved him wrong and he got upset so started looknig for p-plate on back window. it had fallen off and he asked me what i did for a job (mind you i was being polite and calm as they were yelling for some unknown reason so i didnt wanna make it worse) told him im a courier and he goes great now i can take 3 points off your licence and your gonna lose your job, we are sending a letter out in the mail. as they drove off i yelled **** this and slammed my bonnet down. they chucked a u-turn and said what the **** is your problem mate. say that to my face. and he started pushing me around. i asked if he was gonna bash me next and he jsut laughed and said im going to be cahrged with using bad language or something and he will see me in court and got back to his car. i walked up there and said "mate give me your badge number im going to report you for pushing me around" he replies with "it will be on your fine" fair enough i say give me the drivers badge number for absuin me. they both got out of the car and said ohh you ******* smart ass. i was on the fone to my dad at the time explaining what had happened when they grabbed me around the throat as soona s they jumped out the car... my dad heard me being strangled and callin out for help so they hung up my phone and slammed me into the ground head first. i was sitll beign strangled and said i coudlnt breathe and to get his knee out of the back of my neck and he said he wouldnt until he had me cuffed and if i didnt put my hands behind my back to get cuffed he would bust my windpipe. so i complied and was layin on the floor for 10 minutes while they called a divvy van. they were hanging around my car so i lifted my head off the floor to see what they were doing and the sargeant (driver) came over and said wtf do you think you are doing this isnt a ******* game ****! and booted me three times to the back of the head. my chin snapping the floor with each kick. when the divvy van rocked up i was thrown into the back as i asked for my keys and phone they said here you go.. dangled them infront of me and slammed the door shut. the dirvers of the van were taking corners hard so i would smash my head into the walls put i put my foot agaisnt the door so i couldnt slide. was chucked into the cell for about 30 minutes and released.. when i asked for my keys and phone he said they are in your car.. great i thought my car is gonna be stolen. so i had an hour and a half walk back to my car which thankfully was still tehre (windows down key in ignition) so i called up my dad and we went to make a complaint to the police station. the coppers in there all knew each otehr and had made up a story of me kicking both officers twice thats why they hit me and wouldnt have a bar of me and kept tellin me to piss off. eventually the chief inspector rocked up (good bloke) and i asked ot have a chat with him. he had told me that he knows that they have done wrong and said even if i did kick them (which i didnt) they could only use necassary force and will take this further. he said the offiers involved have bene accused of this many times and my complaint will be enough to see them in court including all the other times they ahve done it as they have enough evidence now. so basically i have no licence now for losing 3 points for not having a p-plate up. i am going in on monday to talk to the inspector and get a statement down on monday. he had taken pics of me and was shaking his head about the coppers the whole time he was takin pics of my injuries. so basically because i drive a nice sports car and i was on the same road that all this shit happened i ended up copping a beating for it by the police.

also i was told by that officer if i was ever seen on that road again he will kick my ass and confiscate the car.

really made me think twice about attempting to join the academy but then when i met the chief inspector and how polite and understanding he was it just changed my mind again

anyway that is my story of tonight so anybody in a zed stay clear of there if you are a p-plater as you will no doubt be dealt the same thing. off to have a shower now to wash all the blood off my face (yeah it is still dripping heaps after about 4 hours) and take off my blood stained clothes. will post up pics tomorrow.. and of the nice bruise he gave me on my cheek bone when i opped a punch... if only they werent in uniform i could have defended myself.

again this is absolute bs and i really want to do something about this...and im note joking.....we need to make this story heard

also i was apparently dragging this ute (why didnt i get a speeding fine or get my car confiscated under hoon laws??)

im being charged with indecent language (fair enough)

assaulting a police officer (lmao other way around buddy)

assault (ok mate)

resisting arrest (i was dragged straight to the floor by my throat while still

holding my phone, not even enough time to resist)

3 demerit points for not having a p-plate up (loss of licence)

a fine for not having my licence on me (i thought i didnt have it and i eventually found it and they didnt wanna have a bar of it)

i will be taking them to court for reimbersment of the time off work i am gonna be missing going in and out of the police station all week

excessive force

doctors bills for stitches etc

indecent language

discrimination (let other guys speed off coz they werent on their p's)

all i can think of atm. they have a chip on their shoulder because they got embarrased of what happened friday night so i copped the brunt of their anger.

a couple of my claims i may not have a case for.. but in any case wish me luck. i was doing the right thing and still got hit, so i wont stop until these two officers lose their jobs like they have casued me to lose mine!

Its been typed on an internet forum so must be true...and the whole story. >_<

No-one knows if this is true or the whole story so lets leave the pack mentality to those idiots running around breaking into shops and damaging public property

man if even one bit of that story is true....its more then enough to make my blood boil

should've just got bacak into the car and locked the door.....

i can understand man but the amount of things that went wrong just was OB. he had every right to ask for his badge.......i would have done the same....

I have no idea if this is true...but omissions can change the whole tone of the story. Say his number plate was noted as one the cars involved Friday night? And a licence check showed he had form for criminal activities? I dont know, just like i dont beleive the crap i hear on tv i sure dont go believing everything i read on car forums.

What makes my blood boil is people that are forever painting pictures of them beign victims >_< I know a 55yr old bloke at work who had a Porsche and a neat old HZ Kingswood. Him and his club friends cop a lot of agro for owning these old Holdens...import owners arent the only ones beign singled out.

Anyway...will sit back and wait and see if any of this is true. IF it is then i will be outraged

I WILL say that i take this with a grain of salt - Although, I have had a very bad experience with the NSW Police which i wish to keep private, but it involved serious police incompetence and also 2 police who were standing side by side tending completely different, contradicting statments to court. I think that our federal government needs to stand up and do something about this crap because our police force are under-educated, stupid and useless. This is my personal experience so I guess what I am trying to do is challenge the system to explain/resolve these issues.

There are good cops and there are bad cops. Tis a shame this sort of stuff happens though. It should be on today tonight!

Exactly. Someone that has been unfairly targetted by the police, should make a stand and talk to the media and see if they will do a story. If it's in anyway true, then the media will lap it up.

This is just hearsay, just like a lot of other threads that are posted about police "harrasing" people and what not.

The story is one sided. Sounds bad, and nasty.

But you cant really say (for the time being) that its all true.

if it's true.. then it's raelly bad.. but seriously.. how many times have you been stopped by rude cops?

driving in my previous car for 2 1/2 yrs.. I wasn't stopped by cops.. drove the skyline.. and within 1 mth.. was stopped twice.. for RBT.. 1st time the officer wasn't rude.. but the 2nd one was soooooooo rude..

oh isit? hrmmmmm sorry....but think everyone needs to hear this.

this is absolute bs guys i wanna do soemthing about this.....and im not joking.......

Then do something. Instead of stirring up shit and farting in the breeze; get off your ass and do what ever you beleive you can do.

Personally i don't think you can do shit, as it does not involve you and there is no proof that the story is true.

I really don't know why BS threads like this are kept open :)

    • And finally, the front lower mount. It was doubly weird. Firstly, the lower mount is held in with a bracket that has 3 bolts (it also acts as the steering lock stop), and then a nut on the shock lower mount itself. So, remove the 3x 14mm head bolts , then the 17mm nut that holds the shock in. From there, you can't actually remove the shock from the lower mount bolt (took me a while to work that out....) Sadly I don't have a pic of the other side, but the swaybar mounts to the same bolt that holds the shock in. You need to push that swaybar mount/bolt back so the shock can be pulled out past the lower control arm.  In this pic you can see the bolt partly pushed back, but it had to go further than that to release the shock. Once the shock is out, putting the new one in is "reverse of disassembly". Put the top of the shock through at least one hole and put a nut on loosely to hold it in place. Put the lower end in place and push the swaybar mount / shock bolt back in place, then loosely attach the other 2 top nuts. Bolt the bracket back in place with the 14mm head bolts and finally put the nut onto the lower bolt. Done....you have new suspension on your v37!
    • And now to the front.  No pics of the 3 nuts holding the front struts on, they are easy to spot. Undo 2 and leave the closest one on loosely. Underneath we have to deal with the wiring again, but this time its worse because the plug is behind the guard liner. You'll have to decide how much of the guard liner to remove, I undid the lower liner's top, inside and lower clips, but didn't pull it full off the guard. Same issue undoing the plug as at the rear, you need to firmly push the release clip from below while equally firmly gripping the plug body and pulling it out of  the socket. I used my fancy electrical disconnect pliers to get in there There is also one clip for the wiring, unlike at the rear I could not get behind it so just had to lever it up and out.....not in great condition to re-use in future.
    • Onto the rear lower shock mount. It's worth starting with a decent degrease to remove 10+ years of road grime, and perhaps also spray a penetrating oil on the shock lower nut. Don't forget to include the shock wiring and plug in the clean.... Deal with the wiring first; you need to release 2 clips where the wiring goes into the bracket (use long nose pliers behind the bracket to compress the clip so you can reuse it), and the rubber mount slides out, then release the plug.  I found it very hard to unplug, from underneath you can compress the tab with a screwdriver or similar, and gently but firmly pull the plug out of the socket (regular pliers may help but don't put too much pressure on the plastic. The lower mount is straightforward, 17mm nut and you can pull the shock out. As I wasn't putting a standard shock back in, I gave the car side wiring socket a generous gob of dialectric grease to keep crap out in the future. Putting the new shock in is straightforward, feed it into at least 1 of the bolt holes at the top and reach around to put a nut on it to hold it up. Then put on the other 2 top nuts loosely and put the shock onto the lower mounting bolt (you may need to lift the hub a little if the new shock is shorter). Tighten the lower nut and 3 upper nuts and you are done. In my case the BC Racing shocks came assembled for the fronts, but the rears needed to re-use the factory strut tops. For that you need spring compressors to take the pressure off the top nut (they are compressed enough when the spring can move between the top and bottom spring seats. Then a 17mm ring spanner to undo the nut while using an 8mm open spanner to stop the shaft turning (or, if you are really lucky you might get it off with a rattle gun).
    • You will now be able to lift the parcel shelf trim enough to get to the shock cover bolts; if you need to full remove the parcel shelf trim for some reason you also remove the escutcheons around the rear seat release and you will have to unplug the high stop light wiring from the boot. Next up is removal of the bracket; 6 nuts and a bolt Good news, you've finally got to the strut top! Remove the dust cover and the 3 shock mount nuts (perhaps leave 1 on lightly for now....) Same on the other side, but easier now you've done it all before
    • OK, so a bunch of trim needs to come off to get to the rear shock top mounts. Once the seat is out of the way, the plastic trim needs to come off. Remove 2 clips at the top then slide the trim towards the centre of the car to clear the lower clip Next you need to be able to lift the parcel shelf, which means you need to remove the mid dark trim around the door, and then the upper light trim above the parcel shelf. The mid trim has a clip in the middle to remove first, then lift the lowest trim off the top of the mid trim (unclips). At the top there is a hidden clip on the inner side to release first by pulling inwards, then the main clip releases by pulling the top towards the front of the car. The door seal comes off with the trim, just put them aside. The the lighter upper trim, this is easy to break to top clips so take it carefully. There is a hidden clip towards the bottom and another in the middle to release first by pulling inwards. Once they are out, there are 3 clips along the rear windscreen side of the panel that are hard to get under. This is what the rear of the panel looks like to assist:
