Well after much thought im going to be selling my GTST and getting a 32 GTR... which i was going to do originally but then went off the whole idea and thought i would just mod up my GTST. Changed my mind again :P

So im deciding whether i should sell the parts i have sitting in my room and sell the car as is or put them on the car and then sell it.

I reckon i sell the bits that are there and sell as is for about 14k... what ya reckon?

Parts sitting in my room:

-Genuine GTR Alloy Guards

-Glass GTR front bar (unpainted)

-Plastic Genuine GTR Sideskirts

-GTST rear spoiler

-Genuine GTR FMIC

-Pineapples

Have to do a few things to the car first as there are a few minor things that need fixing... once thats done its up for sale and i buy a shitbox commo or something til the GTR lands :(

yeah i spose... could use the money to put towards the car or buying a shitter in the meantime.

will have to wait a few months or so tho... til the car is ready for sell.

might advertise the parts now...

I think parts for R32 are a lot harder to find, hence the demand.

Are you going to be able to import an R32 GTR or just look around locally, or still the japan idea?

If i sell my car next year.. i've pretty much come to the same conclusion. Strip the parts off separate and sell them to whoever needs a cooler, EBC, etc. If u have plenty of time available to sell it, sell all the addons separate, and just sell the stock car...

Then some p-plater can buy it and not kill themselves, or choose to stick all the go-fast bits on themselves over time.

yeah thats what im doing... and ur right the 32 bits are hard to come buy... mainly cause the 32 is less common i would say. the suspension i will leave in it as well as the ECU even tho someone wanted to buy that from me as well seperately lol

almost everythings gone now apart from the guards and the FMIC.

haha.. doesn't everybody?

Soon we'll all be owning GTR's in one way or another.. R32 GTR is going to become pretty common.. I reckon if you can pick one up for low 30's it is a bargain... won't devalue.

Actually stuff it.. i'm adding R32 GTR to my list of "3 possibles" for next year :D

narkeh's raping his car for parts... good 2 see... i'm keepin my car in da family hehe (my old man's takin the GTS)... we'll achieve the same thing tho.. R32 GTR's ahoy... jus dun bid for the same car I do lol.

I've been looking a bit around the net.. early 89 models will be going for like $15-$20k next year ! if you want a bit of an older one, sounding pretty good.. Even if u need to budget $10k for an engine rebuild and a spray job sounding pretty good to me..even if u have to wait until 1 Jan 2004 to get it...Some places are allowing you to buy them from auction and keep them in storage

look at this one for a bargain..

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
