williamstown is second to chapel with police. Has been like that for a long time now. Everytime I go there I witness burnouts, motorbikes popping monos, and general hooning. Not suprised that you were caught.

guess what? While they were out giving you the defect - my bro and sis-in-law had their house robbed earlier. Gave a call to the cops just before 8pm (when they got home from work) - then gave a call at 10.30 am. Whoever answered the phone at the police station told them "we will come by tommorrow to take a look, just dont touch anything". Tommorrow????? They got a baby son (7 months old), they need to use the bed to sleep (as both have hectic days with meetings and all that shit) - they cant do anything cos the beds messed up due to the thieves leaving boxes n shit on the bed (my nephew is with my sis-in-law's parents for hte night).

Why go around stopping innocent people and defecting them - when there are real criminals to be stopped....thats what pisses me off so much. Im gonna be writing a letter first thing in the morning with regards to the "we will come tommorrow by to take a look, just dont touch anything" comment.... :)

Edit: no such thing as tommorrow. They will get pissed off if they catch a criminal and he/she goes "can we go to jail tommorrow? I just got to get some shut eye"....

In Williamstown? Was it near the actual beach or near the cafe strip? Williamstown next to the beach is a real pain, i've been there where anyone, and i mean anyone with rims, music on or whatever they thaught was a "hoon" (just use your imagination) got pulled over. It was funny cos no way if you were a cop you would look at half the cars twice, but if you have something to hide like a unroadworthy car just try and avoid those places and maybe get a quieter exhaust. So what exactly did theyt defect you on?

As far as i know, the Police *cough*cops*cough* aren't allowed to check inside your car unless you give them the permission to do so. It's best to get out of the car, if your asked that is and once you get out lock your doors so he/she won't attempt to get inside to stuff/check around.

Emsta2003

That sucks mate, you/they should write up a formal complaint for that comment!!

But if you tell the cops you arn't letting them search the car i think it'll make life alot more difficult than it can be. Sometimes you need to cop it on the chin and move on cos they'll screw ya especially after all this crap thats been going on with the "hoons"

They are TMU - they were just doing what they get paid to do.

Illegal mods = a defect.

Quit the cop bashing.

Spot on. Does your brother live in Williamstown? Even if he does, its not TMU's responsibilty to answer a house call....

I guess my car is invisble...I've been down to willi beach plenty of times in it. I was down there friday night...saw 3 other skylines including a very nice (and modified R32) an R33 and an R34, + my car. I didn't see a single burnout or even anyone accelerating hard (except for a lancer...so he didn't have enough power to accelerate hard)..

Yea umm thats great... no one said your car is invisble but i'm sure it can attract alot of attention if you want it to. I actually said that its the beach part, anyone who knows williamstown will know what happens there on a hot day when everyone wants to go to the becah. They block off the stip between the strand and the ice cream shop on the other end where the car park is where all the fully sick cnts hang out.

All the traffic comes down from the back beach part then they all find its blocked off at the strand resturant and have to do a U-Turn, when doin the U-Turn the cops just wave them to the side of the road and pull out their little book of bright yellow stickers. Try it out next time your in the area on a hot day.

emsta2003 : Sorry to hear that.. thats low, but if it was a hoon doing a skid on the road they would rock up in 2 mins......

I was at the cafe strip, i dont go to the beach due to the fact im not fully sick

Ive been down to the cafe strip of williamstown beach more times than what i got fingers and never seen any burnouts/hooning

Bec: Its very well as you say illegal mods = defect, buy why should i cop it hardly for the maggots in noble park? or make it out that there giving me some excuse to defect me

R33HVN: They only got me for too low and must remove either pod or intercooler.

Yes it has been lowered a little, plus my bodykit is lower than factory kit

on your first offence of a canary do you pay a fine? afew of the bois told me that your first canary is fineless but 2nd offence onwards you get fined but demerit points dont get touched

you have clearly broken the law and call them f'in tossers???

the modifications on your car are illegal and deem the car as defectable

you would know this when you considering the modifications or when you brought the car, its your own fault.

you sir are a stupid head

plain and simple

I'm sorry you've been defected,

But you know the deal, if you choose to have illegal mod's then inadvertently get pulled over and defected who's to blame...not the knobends in Noble Park. The Knobends from Noble Park may be blamed for an increased vigilance by togs towards modified cars but they didn't fit the frontmount, pod or change your ride height to your car.

You need to make a choice...either play within the rules or stop whinging when you get caught breaking them. aint hard to do.

"You are the gate keeper of your own destiny and one day you too will have your hot time in the sun" some Nacho wisdow :glare:

Yes thats fair enough but why make an excuse "because of the noble park maccas hooning, my boss calls upon all of us etc..." making it out that what happend in noble park has to effect me too..

Thats why im calling them tossers.

No shit im to blame and i will fix what i got defected on, im not cut about that.. if you own an import thats what you get coming to you..

At the end of the day if your car is factory, if they really wanted to they would defect you.

Bec: Its very well as you say illegal mods = defect, buy why should i cop it hardly for the maggots in noble park? or make it out that there giving me some excuse to defect me

You miss the point - they dont need a reason to defect you. If your car has illegal mods - thats enough of a reason, regardless of what happened at Noble Park.

Its against the law - deal with it!!! We dont need you starting a thread complaining about how you broke the law and got fined.

if you own an import thats what you get coming to you..

BINGO!!!

Thats why im calling them tossers.

And.... in light of you still calling the police names, im locking this thread.

Next person who cop bashes

Get a week timeout.

Simple as that.

If you drive an illegal car, dont come here complaining about getting defected for it.

Noble Park has absolutely NOTHING to do with the fact that

1) You drove a car illegally

2) You were defected because of it

If you wanna whinge, go do it to your mother or something

    • Cheers. Skyline is back on the menu, can’t get rid of it. It’s like a child you don’t want, or herpes
    • I got back to Japan in January and was keen to get back on track as quickly as possible. Europe is god-awful for track accessibility (by comparison), so I picked up a first-gen GT86 in December just to have something I could jump into right away. The Skyline came over in a container this time and landed in early January. It was a bit battered after Europe, though—I refused to do anything beyond essential upkeep while it was over there. The clutch master cylinder gave out, and so did the power steering. I didn’t even bother changing the oil; it was the same stuff that went in just before I left Japan the first time. Naughty. Power steering parts would’ve cost double with shipping and taxes, so knowing I’d be heading back to Japan, I just postponed it and powered through the arm workout. It took a solid three months to get the car back on the road. Registration was a nightmare this time around. There were a bunch of BS fees to navigate, and sourcing parts was a headache. I needed stock seats for shaken, mistakenly blew 34k JPY on some ENR34 seats—which, of course, didn’t fit—then ended up having the car’s technical sheet amended to register it as a two-seater with the Brides. Then there’s the GT86. Amazing car. Does everything I want it to do. Parts are cheap, easy to find, and I don’t care what anyone says—it’s super rewarding to drive. I’ve done a few basic mods: diff ratio, coilovers, discs, pads, seat, etc. It already had a new exhaust manifold and the 180kph limiter removed, so I assume it’s running some kind of map. I’ve just been thrashing it at the track non-stop—mostly Fuji Speedway now, since I need something with higher speed after all that autobahn time. The wheels on the R34 always pissed me off—too big, and it was a nightmare getting tires to fit properly under the arches. So I threw in the towel and bought something that fits better. Looks way cleaner too (at least to me)—less hotboy, less attention-seeking. Still an R34, though. Now for future plans. There are a few things still outstanding with the car. First up, the rear subframe needs an overhaul—that’s priority one. Next, I need to figure out an engine rebuild plan. No timeline yet, but I want to keep it economical—not cutting corners, just not throwing tens of thousands at a mechanic I can barely communicate with. And finally, paint. Plus a bit of tidying up here and there.
    • Nope, needed to clearance under the bar a little with a heat gun, a 1/2" extension as the "clearancer", and big hammer, I was aware of this from the onset, they fit a 2.0 with this intake no problems, but, the 2.5 is around 15mm taller than a 2.0, so "clearancing" was required  It "just" touched when test fitting, now, I have about 10mm of clearance  You cannot see where it was done, and so far, there's no contact when giving it the beans Happy days
    • It's been a while since I've updated this thread. The last year (and some) has been very hectic. In the second-half of 2024 I took the R34 on a trip through Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland - it was f*cking great. I got a little annoyed with the attention the car was getting around Europe and really didn't drive it that much. I could barely work on the car since I was living in an inner-city apartment (with underground parking). During the trip, the car lost power steering in France - split hose - and I ended up driving around 4,000kms with no power steering.  There were a few Nurburgring trips here and there, but in total the R34 amassed just shy of 7,000kms on European roads. Long story short, I broke up with the reason I was transferred to Europe for and requested to be moved back to Japan. The E90, loved it. It was a sunk cost of around EUR 10,000 and I sold it to a friend for EUR 1,500 just to get rid of it quickly. Trust me, moving countries f*cking sucks and I could not be bothered to be as methodical as I was the first time around.
