i think pwning yourself is what you do best genius

tell me what car do i drive again?

I doubt you drive one at all....anyway back to school today or tomorrow so hopefully we'll never see you on here again. Maybe instead of posting on here you can get more of your friends to join up so you can write stupid trader comments in their profiles? I'm going to stop replying now because frankly, you bore me.

whenever you drive any RWD car that looks done up you will get pulled over.

as for skylines doing skids, when i had my 33, whenever i saw someone i knew either in the street or coming the other way, or just drove past their work and they were out the front, it was back to second, slow down to about 50kmh, heel/toe the brake and the gas until it builds up to full boost then kick the clutch and dance it up the street. i went through my rear tyres in 5000kms.

i never did this in any of my other cars. i never really did any skids in any of my other cars, just the skyline. i never got cought in the skyline either. skyline owners were already getting picked on when i got mine, but i didn't help the situation.

Exact same thing happened to me when i was driving my olds XY GT. 1am in the morning police pull me up telling me that "they heard" me do a burnout. They were really nice and just did the usual, check licence, breath test and check rego.

I think most people get into trouble then they are rude to the police after they pull you over. Being a prick to police is not going to make them believe that you are a resonsible driver / did not do the burnout.

I always treat them with respect and courtesy even when they are handing me my ticket. If provoked and in the wrong mood they can make your life hell.

And I can understand how easy it would be for them to be in a bad mood seeing as they have to deal with some real low-lifes.

It isnt the "import" title that gets the cops going, it is the "high powered" part that does, i dont think there is any need to blame the cops, i mean it stucks that we do get pulled over, but we do for a reason you know. Most likely to have illegal mods, or be illegal, burnouts etc, speeding. Cops might catch a fool in a commonwhore doing stuff but he prob isnt going fast enough to hurt a fly really. IMO

Having said that, the commonwhore in most cases wouldn't be able to stop as well or handle as well as a Skyline which can negate some hypothetical speed differences that you mentioned.

and said sommodore is more likely to have 5 people in the car, and end up around a power pole/tree.

its the sterotypical hoons i tell u.

There are far more d|ckheads doing burnouts in commodores then skylines. Far, far more.

but the cops are only doin ther job..

even so, there is no need to be wankers about it, which most of the time, they are.

    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
