Was there moments after the acco. I thought for certain a fatality due to the tree a third into the drivers cabin, but alas it was critical head injuries. Definate drag racing down Canb ave, broad daylight in traffic. A huge effort by the P plater to get the car in that sort of position. There was some army guy holding the drivers hand when I passed by.

What amazes me is the number of Police cars racing to the accident. Worse than blowflys on the preverbial.

Absolutely no need to close any of the lanes off and they wern't when I was going by. I think they were eventualy closed so that so many police, ambos etc.. could park for a better view.

a guy came into work who'd seen it. he said the kid driving overtook him and another guy between the lanes doing at least 160k's. then locked up the wheels for about a hundred metres straight into the tree. that's pretty full on.

It may sound a bit harsh when a life is on the line, but I believe in natural selection;the stupid will kill themselves off...

Street racing? Only for the stupid and fullsiks...

I dont think that is harsh for the reason he brought it all upon himself he got nobody to blame , it just lucky that nobody else got taken out that could add to the gene pool

I totally agree!

Natural Selection, Darwin'ism

Thankfully he removed him self from the gene pool

Ya drive that fast- in that area- Idiot

Live fast, die young, die ugly!

Let that be a lesson to the rest of the idiots...

This will probably mean they crack down on P Platers…

Even more...

Idiot

    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
