christian, just got a reply from my friend...

it is called MCA...motorcylce accessories . it is next to Parra westfield..!!  u know the village cinema entrance u jus go down therre further towards all the china shops and its at the end of the street at the corner!

helmets $99 .

Normally i get my wheel alignment over at East Coast Suspension @ Kirawee, but cant find the time to get the car over there.

Can anyone recommend a place around North Ryde, Blacktown that can do a good alignment for a car that is going to be thrown around the track.

I really need someone with some club car experience as i blistered my last set of front DJ-01s as i had nowhere near enough camber wound in to the front. Dont want to destroy any more tyres.

should i change my tyres to a brand new set before i goto track ? or after i completely destroy the old set?? coz my rears are at the legal limit atm... am considering getting a new set put on before the track day so i have more grip on the track, but then i am in stingy mode these days and want to completely use the old tyres before i throw them away... any suggestion?

btw , drifting on old tyres and etcetc... NO thanks... i know jack shit about drifting...........

Bonkers got a good skid lid at a good price... might want to pm him.

Rac33r, My pleasure mate... you guys literally just called me as I was about to call Dave... good timing.

Tyres, keep the old set... you will cry if you stick a new set on, go to track day and then have a look at the condition of them after the first session... unless you are going to use cheating tyres (Semi-slicks).

Fatz, How much?

If anyone needs to call me about the track day then please feel free. My moby is 0414 940 938. Please don't call after 10pm or before 7am or there will be the misus to deal with!!!

Cheers,

Dan.

Standby:

Benm (90% chance I'll be able to get you on on the day)

Majanal (Looks like I'll be watching and going for passenger laps)

An always I will bring spare long sleeve tops and 2 spare helmets. First in best dresses, but drivers do get priority over passengers. Because we are all in different groups there should not be any issues.

i thought i'd replied.. oh well. I'll be spectating on the day. Must get a car I can thrash on the track without feeling guilty so I can come out and show you all what I haven't got :bahaha:

Your welcome to come and be a pasenger mate... but I think that it will be a bit hard to get anymore cars on the track on the day. But 20 cars that want to drive is an excellent number. That is almost enough to run a day at wakefield under the SAU banner.

GOOD NEWS!

and bad news for some.

I just spoke to Dave stone about the cameras. He has ok the use of cameras bolted into the car like Roy does. He has also said that the use of handheld cameras will be permitted providing that the footage being taken does not encourage drivers to be stupid, ie. drifting.

Drifting will not be allowed in the morning full stop. I will meet with dave around lunch time and we will decide if the track is quiet enough to do some drifting in the arvo. There most probably will be some rules though... possibly like the no group drifting. This is due to the large number of cars that will be on track in the morning and that we won't be getting our own group.

Dan.

    • would a r34 gtr hood line up with gt/gtt stock fenders? after latch, front bumper and hinges are swapped for gtr ones? or would the fenders be too low or high in relation to the hood surface? ( I believe seeing somewhere that gtr front fenders use some type of riser for the sides, but do not know how that relates to stock gt/gtt fenders.)
    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
