Date edited to Friday the 23rd March

Hey guys,

Been speaking with quite a few of the main members and it's come to our attention that we're overdue for another Pizza Night!

Seeing as the last one was at Zefferrellis (SP?). It's the SOUTH-SYDAZ turn.

Now, our last Pizza night on the southside was at APK (almost 2 years ago) *shock* so it's about time!

I'm proposing APK again because we know they can accomodate a large group, but I also thought that perhaps Beau's new find "Streetscene" could be a great venue? Having not been there myself, it's a bit hard to know if they are large enough to hold a large group, so I'll rely on feedback from those that have been there to let me know.

I'm proposing Friday the 23th March (bit over 2 weeks away) at 7.30pm.

I'll put the details up now and if we need to change location i.e. to Streetscene then that can be taken care of. If the date causes specific issues then we can look at ammending that also, but ideally our focus is to keep it as simple as possible without wavering from the initial plan.

Please note, this is in now way an exclusive invite for southsiders, everyone is welcome, it's just being held over here this time, that's all.

SAUACT Pizza Night:

WHERE: APK Woden (Potentially to be moved to Streetscene).

WHEN: Friday 23rd March @ 7.30pm

Simply add your name to the list if you'd like to come and a (+1) if you'll be bringing a friend/partner, these events are a great chance for us to meet new members, catch up with friends and show off some nice cars. And this will probably be our last good chance to get together before the cold temps set in!

Still on the investigation of when street scene will be back up and running. should know shortly. as soon as there back up, ill take some photos of the venue etc so everyone has an idea of environment, will also try to get a menu and chuck it up

Beau, perhaps you've missed the point of going out to eat with friends?

We don't eat the menu's and chuck them up, we eat the food, mixed with obscene ammounts of alcahol and chuck that up.

The menu simply acts as a guide to help us figure out how to get to "chuck up" stage in the most efficient and effective way.

APK is decent, and ive eaten at both the civic and woden one recently, working in both a restaurant and kitchen, you guys could eat at a much better place...de cellini or even debacle in braddon, way better food, at roughly the same price....

of course its upto you guys, and chances are i wont be there, but yeah..

I missed all of them, so provided i have finished my course in time, im in.

Streetscene would have enough tables+chairs to accomodate a pretty large croud seated outside, but I dare say you would have to call them and see if you can book it. And im with Beau, 18" pizzas for the win.

Either way I wont be able to make it, as ill be down at the F1 in Melbourne yayayaya

HAHAHA, holy sh*t! Nick, you reminded me, I'll be in Melb for the F1 also. All expenses paid trip and box seats at the channel 10 box FTW!!!++ lol.

Oh well, I've gone and made an ass of myself, not to worry.

I'm happy to do all the organizing anyway, as long as the SAU CREW get to meet up I'll be stoked, even if I can't be there.

I'm ok to leave the date as is seeing as we've had such a strong response already.

    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
    • Yeah, I would have said the same. It makes me suggest that there are other things wrong, such that the ECU is totally unhappy with the broken sensor. The only other thought here is that maybe it is shorted, which might cause a different issue to the typical "disconnected" sensor.
